I have purchased a playstation 3 from US. I live in UK. I also purchased a samsung LCD 656 series (with four HDMI channels). My LCD is not receiving HDMI signal. I have tried four different cables, all of which were version 1.3. No hope. On the other hand, I used av cable and it works fine. I have already tried resetting but no way out.

If you are able to connect your PS3 to another TV using the same HDMI cable that would rule out your PS3, if it works.....or
does the PS3 itself have any settings that perhaps need to be set to an HDMI output as opposed to Composite or SCART etc?
Also have a look at the HDMI settings in theh TV menu too.
Make sure the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI OUT port on the
back of the PLAYSTATION 3 system. Connect the other end of the HDMI
cable into the HDMI Input port of the TV or display monitor.
While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the
front of the system), hold down the
touch-sensitive power button on the front of the system until the system
goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from:
red light --> green light --> then back to red light). This
will ensure that you have held down the power button long enough to
reset the Video Output Settings.
Turn on the PLAYSTATION 3 system and once the system finishes powering
up, the Video Output Settings will automatically reset to the standard
