I have an hp pavilion a350n,need to get a best hard drive for it.I'm a crazy for music...downlow and play

Your computer will only accept ATA hard drives according to the web site. When looking at hard drives make the drive IDE ATA and not the newer SATA drives. You can also speed up your computer by maximizing your RAM Memory. Your user manual covers all this. You can also access the computer specs and upgrade possibilities at their web site.

The motherboard on my hp pavilion a350n is dead, and the computer will not even turn on. How can I access the files on the hard drive?

You will have to pull out the Hard Drive and put that in another PC as a second hard drive. Then also using that computer you can just scan your entire drive and save anything you need to discs, or an external USB hard drive is handy then you can simply swap them back to your new computer. Hp Pavilion a350n shutdown and will only boot up to a blankscreen, (no Windows logo) there is not beep, no indication of any problem, power is good, video card is good (tried three cards), switch monitors,...

I assume by power is good you mean when you press the power button on the pc it spins up.

1) unplug all the components such as hard drive, floppy and USB from the motherboard.
(so you should only have the VGA, monitor and motherboard with RAM and CPU.) turn it on and see if you get a screen. if you don't there is possibly a problem with the motherboard.

if you do get some display on the screen 2) switch off and plug in one component at a time and then switch back on. if it works turn it off and plug in the next component and turn it back on. repeat until you find the faulty component that cause it to not turn on.
