Question about Intel D845GLLY Motherboard
I have a D845 GLLY motherboard with 40 GB Hard disk. Now I get a message on startup that Disk read error. I check in setup than I found that under IDE Pheripheral It detect my Samsung harddisk but on startup it show read error. Can this problem be solve or I have to Buy a new hard disk.
If I buy a 200 GB sata harddisk than it support to my motherboard or not.
Please answer my question immediately because I have to make a project which I have to submit in my university by 15 of Nov' 08.
Try first to reformat the 40 GIG hard drive that you have since it still detected under BIOS so hopefully that can still be reformatted and still work after that, but if still have the same problem this 40GIG hard drive may have alot of bad sectors already , Sorry to say but the 200 gig of sata drive wonto work for this motherboard since it doesn't support SATA drive , you can get a 1600GIG of IDE drive for this, this is teh complete specs of your motherboard
