SOURCE: unable to start laptop

Hello,

I understand the urgency and also the importance of data stored in the laptop.

As the laptop is unable to start in normal mode let us try in safe mode.

Follow the steps below:

1. Turn the laptop off completely.
2. Press the power on button to turn it on and at the same time simultaneously keep tapping ' F8 ' key on key pad until you see a advanced boot options screen.
3. Select 'safe mode' and hit enter.

Thank you.

u will need to open the laptop, there on the mainboard u will find a battery, u have to remove the main battery and remove the laptop from current. its a small round battery u have to remove it for some 5secs just to clear the bios memory, then put it back back. the password wont be here. if there is no round battery then u will find a jumper that u have to short it. else remove the hard disk use a USB cable transfer cable to use it on another pc or laptop to recover your information

SOURCE: Hi I just bought an HP

Hi Kathryn, it may just be that facebook's servers are overloaded or some wider-network issue so your PC cant establish a connection with facebooks servers. Perhaps you can just wait for a few hours or try again tomorrow to see if there are any changes.
In the meantime, try downloading any updates for your browser (I suggest using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome over Internet Explorer) and then try again. It may just be a browser issue that gets in an endless loop trying to load some parts of Facebook's page, and an update of the browser should fix the problem.

Bluescreen 0x0000008e (0x000001d, 0x805405d8, 0xeb6f3ds4

- Start window in safe mode And follow these steps
- Update drivers for your hardware.just go to site of your laptop manufacturer Once there enter the model number OR service tag of the laptop then request driver (usually found in the web site's "Support Section"). There you should be able to find all the drivers for your model laptop Most Blue Screens of Death are hardware or driver related so updated drivers could fix the cause of the STOP error.
- Return BIOS settings to their default levels. An overclocked or misconfigured BIOS can cause all sorts of random issues, including BSODs.
If problem still exists, then I will suggest you to get Intel software partner reliable program Reginout to fix your annoying blue screen problem.
Best of luck

Win7 Update Error 80072F8F

When a hard drive has bad read/write sectors it means the magnetic oxide layer on the disc platters are failing. Before you made an image of the hard drive you should have ran Error Check on the C Drive. This checks and locates the bad sectors and moves the data to an undamaged part of the disc platters and then locks out that bad sector so data cannot be written on the bad sector.
I recommend you do a fresh Windows install on your new hard drive to fix this problem and install the laptop's device drivers plus your programs and data.

My sound is not working. When i check it shows that "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)". I tried by re-installing Real-tec...

Hi,

You can reinstall the sound drivers from the Acer recovery management, to do so:

Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Restore Application
& Drivers> Contents> Select Realtek and install it

OR

Got to http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/

Select the computer model
Select Operating System installed on your computer
Click Drivers
Select Audio (Realtek) and download it.
Once downloaded, install it on your computer.

And if the issue persists,
then it appears that some of the the Windows files are corrupted on your computer, you can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction.

NOTE: This will erase all the data on the computer.

Thanks and regards,
Jitha

Hi, I have a problem with my Acer Aspire 5732Z laptop. Upon boot up, I get a blue screen saying there is an error with my computer, and the following file name appears: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Not...

It seems you have an IRQ conflict. You install a driver and it wants to use an IRQ which is already assigned to a different device. That's why you can start in safe mode because the drivers for your added devices are not loaded.

The computing phrase "interrupt request" (or IRQ) is used to refer to either the act of interrupting the bus lines used to signal an interrupt, or the interrupt input lines on a Programmable Interrupt Controller (PIC). The interrupt request level (IRQL) is the priority of an interrupt request.

In computing, an IRQ conflict is a once common hardware error, received when two devices were trying to use the same interrupt request (or IRQ) to signal an interrupt to the Programmable Interrupt Controller (PIC).

The PIC expects interrupt requests from only one device per line, thus more than one device sending IRQ signals along the same line will generally cause an IRQ conflict that can freeze a computer.

To view your current IRQ assignments you can open Device Manager. Click on START, click on CONTROL PANEL. Click on Performance and Maintenance. Click on System. Click on the Hardware tab. Click the DEVICE MANAGER button. Once you have Device Manager open, select VIEW from the tool-bar menu, and then click Resources by Type. Double click on Interrupt Request (IRQ). If you are experiencing problems with a newly installed/configured piece of hardware and the drivers are installed correctly, then check to see if it has its own IRQ channel.

To change an IRQ setting follow these steps:
-Right click on the device in the list (see above), and then select properties.
-Click the Resources tab.
-Remove the tick from the Use automatic settings option.
-Select a non-conflicting configuration from the pull down box.
-Click OK.

Hi! Thank you for your Help. Now that you have told me that the hard disk has indeed failed, is there a way I can retrieve my data?

If the operating system has failed, but the drive itself (the controller and hardware) still functions, you may want to install Windows on a new folder (such as "Windows-2"), and install enough of windows to read and remove your existing data. The ability to do this depends on the types of disks you have available for installation.
There are other solutions but they depend on your having specific hardware available.
If the drive controller has failed, that is another issue.
