Resetting my phone keeps turning off and on without it being asked to or anything. it's like it's failing to download so it just restarts

Try resetting password, then unlock again... Then restart your phone if this password works.
If not, use phone without password for few days. Or reset setting, format would be the last option.

If the phone is getting restarted then you will have to reload the OS of your phone. You can download the phone OS from :http://us.blackberry.com/support/apps-and-software/desktop-and-device-download-sites.html select your carrier and the desired OS for your phone as you wish. then download the application loaded which helps you to install the OS to the phone from your PC. We call it as BBSAK (BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife). You can get the loader at : bbsak.org/download.php Once you are done downloading the both. Install the BBSAK and the Phone OS to the computer first where you downloaded from the blackerrry site. Connect your phone to the PC via the Data cable and wait a few seconds. Now open the BBSAK software and click CONNECT. As soon as you do it your phone's IMEI number will be displayed there. So now click Wipe device and press o for any upcoming messages. Now look at your phone, you will see a message saying that the phone is getting wiped (Resetting). Wait a few minutes and once the wipe it done Click on LOAD OS on the BBSAK software and then you will get a menu to select the Blackberry OS that you have installed in the PC (Remember i said that you need the Blackberry OS to the PC first). So now select the OS and then click Next and the rest is just a few steps left with some more Next clicks. I hope you are now done with the New OS installed to your phone

You need to get to the boot loader menu. Press and hold the volume down button, then power up the device while keeping the volume down key pressed, that will get you into the boot loader.
The first thing you should try is just to select the option that lets you restart the phone.

If the phone doesn't restart successfully, get into the boot loader again and select safe mode. if the phone lets you into safe mode, try deleting any extra files and/or apps that you most recently downloaded then restart the phone.

If that doesn't work, repeat the steps above to get into the boot loader and then select factory data reset. This will completely reset the phone to factory specs, this is a last resort option, but it will get rid of whatever is causing the phone to have issues.

If none of that works, you need to contact your cell phone provider to see if they can do anything for you.

This may be due to so many reasons, let me tell you few solutions;

• First try turning your phone off, removing the battery and SIM card and putting everything back in after a minute.
• IF the above doesn't work try resetting the phone (A Master Reset: Setting only). Goto Main menu >> Settings >> Under General tab >> Master Reset >> Reset Settings (Default Code 0000)
• If anything doesn't work, the last option is resetting the phone's firmware. For that you need the data cable of your phone. If you have it download this application, install, run and follow the instructions. Note: This will erase everything from your Phone so better backup the stuff before flashing via the PC Suite. Update the phone's software using the Ovi Software Suite. Download from nokia.com

Samsung PC Suite (updated version 7.7.2.20.9) is available to download from http://uk.samsungmobile.com/supports...510&sw_type=SW

Note: If the installer fails or seems to be taking a long time (more than 5 minutes without doing anything) then uninstall ALL Samsung PC Suite components, including the CDMA drivers; then restart your computer and re-run the new installer.

You should reset your phone to get rid of this problem.Remember resetting will restore your phone to factory settings and all your data will be lost,so BACK UP all your valued data before resetting.Here you are the procedure to reset phone:

Soft reset code *#7370#
Hard reset code *#7780#



If the hard format code mentioned aboive does not work,
try the following manual method to hard reset/format Nokia N95:


+ Turn off the mobile device.
+ Press and Hold the following three buttons: the
green Call Answer button, the “*” button,
and the number “3' button.
+ While holding these buttons, turn on
the phone and keep holding the keys until the
mobile phone restarts and prompts you to enter details.

If you want not leave your phone into a repair then this solution can really help you. What I want you to do in your cellphone is to deep reset it. Deep resetting your phone can clear all the mess inside your phone that causing the phone to freeze. To do this just simply dial this number, *#7370# and it will ask restore all original phone settings, press okay to restart and it will ask a code which the default is 12345. See if the phone restarts wihtout the simcard/memory card. If that doesn't work then check the battery - take it out and wipe the gold contacts with a cloth. Put it back in firmly.

If all of these do not work, backup your files and do a Master Reset on your phone. This will delete everything and make the phone like new. Make sure anything you want to keep is backed up.

try removing the external card if there is one and restart phone without it. if theres no external card, try master reset to factory settings and restart phone, please back up your contacts first before resetting your phone.
