I put oil in the petrol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a Jonsered chinsaw. Accidently put oil in the petrol chamber. REalised my mistake immediately. Drained it as best i could. Should i take it in for a full service or take a crack at it myself. How embarassment.

Put some fuel (1/2 tank) in the fuel tank, replace fuel cap and shake chainsaw. Empty this out and refill with fresh fuel (mix), Make absolutely sure to cleanup any spillage, it should be fine after that.

What is the gas/oil ratio for this chainsaw? Is synthetic oil okay to use in it?

Generally 2 stroke engines work on a ratio of 50:1
100ml of 2 stroke oil in 5L of petrol.
Use good quality 2 stroke engine oil for the mixture, Stihl and Husqvarna both have high quality engine oils, designed for more efficient lubrication and emissions quality.

Jonsered user manual

Most machine run 24:1 but go to jonsered main web site or local dealer.
Mix amount in a separate can / bottle before filling machine. Buy a purpose made mixing bottle to help get correct mix. Don't alter manf mix ratio.

No problem; using a borrowed Husqvarna 44-don't know fuel mixtures (if any). The chamber for "oil"-is that engine oil (if so, what do you recommend) or chain saw oil (if not, is there another...

The mix fuel mix is 40:1. Use Husqvarna 2 stroke oil not the cheap stuff on sale at car service stations. The chamber for oil is for chain oil which can be bought at most places that sell or hire machinery like chainsaws, lawnmowers etc.

I accidently put two stroke gas in the fuel tank and ran it a few seconds, then it quit. Drained the fuel and added new fuel, but will only run a few seconds?

hi because you ran engine and it stopped/failed to restar although you renewed fuel which was 2 stroke ? the wrong fuel will be in carb's float chamber and probably ran engine eventually oiled plug may i suggest you clean plug then clean carb out remove main jet and idle and blow them clear so you can see thro them refit and fill f/chamber to 3/4 full then re assemble carb should start then

What type of petrol and oil to use for a sabre 3350 chain saw

The best thing to do is see if your Mom has the operators manual. If not, the best thing I can do is guess. Most chainsaws are two cycle. This means that fuel and oil has to be mixed. There is a formula that you can find on line depending on what ratio is needed. The other chamber that says oil on it is the tank for the Bar Oil. That is the oil that lubricates the bar and chain as the machine is running. You should get some oil that is formulated just for bar lube. Do mix fuel and oil, do put in bar oil...Good luck...Lee

Ive put petrol in the oil tank

Just drain the oil, refill, and I think I'd run it to warm it up fully AFTER draining and refiling, and drain and refill again. You shouldn't drive it w/ gasoline in the oil, as it will thin out the oil and it won't lubricate as it should, and the extra half litre would be overfilled a bit, which would cause the oil to foam, which also would affect lubrication. countrycurt0
