[TV System] Change this setting if the video does not appear correctly. By default, this setting matches the most common setting for TVs in your country. • [PAL] - For a PAL-system TV. (European TVs) • [Multi] - For TV that is compatible with both PAL and NTSC. • [NTSC] - For an NTSC-system TV. (American TVs)
[Picture Setting] Select a predefined set of picture color settings or customize the personal setting. • [Standard] - Original color setting. • [Bright] - Vibrant color setting. • [Soft] - Warm color setting. • [Personal] - Customize the color setting. Set the level of brightness, contrast, tint and color saturation, then press OK
Depending on the dvd player, most of them have a tool section where you can pick-up the contrast, brightness, and hue. This is the problem most of the time. It is not controlled by the display tools in the control window
You need to force the player to the the Top Menu of the disc. The way to do this is: load disc, wait until it says "Reading Completed" (about 1 minute).
Wait for the PLAY icon ">" to show in the upper right corner (this may take up to 30-40 secs).
Once you see the ">" Hit the STOP button on the remote to get to the player's splash screen.
From the Sharp splash screen Hit the "Top Menu/Title List" button on the remote and wait for the circulating dots and then the disc menu appears. Play the movie from the menu and you should be good to go.
