Yes, you can, i had the same problem. i was clueless and thought it can never be fixed, i got banned from xbox live and i coudnlt exchange the xbox, so i kept it away for almost 4 months till i found one solution that worked like a charm for me. I heard about something called X-Clamp repair kit, Basically you just have to replace the screws for the CPU and GPU with those repair kit and it worked perfectly, now im using it and im still downloading game and no RROD or any problem. You can find this kit for arround 3$ on ebay, and believe me it works.

Make sure the HDMI device (TV, Blueray player) is set up for audio output. Usually HDMI 1 is the only connection that has audio out. Also some TVa have to be configured for HDMI audio out.

Am connecting my HP laptop with Windows 7 to the T20 using HDMI cable. Video goes through fine, but audio stays on the laptop speakers. How do I get uadio through the T20 using HDMI from laptop?

This is because you haven't connected audio related wires from laptop to T20. HDMI only carries video and not audio. There are many cables (sealed) which you can buy from electronic stores. You can connect one end of the cable to audio out of Laptop and audio in of T20.

This solution will work definitely.

Thanks,
Amar

The only audio formats supported by the CMT-BX20i are "CD-DA and MP3". When DVDs were first getting started, they didn't have standardized audio and video formats. The burned videos are likely AC3. For both your old and burned DVDs, you can convert them on your computer with an audio video program like Nero or DVD Videosoft.

Hello
this could be a power fault, but first check the power plug if it is in contact with the power socket and if it is then you have to open the back cover of the system to check the fuses if blown resistor, capacitor and transistor with the use of a multimeter to check for back component and if bad replace faulty ones.
Then power on to confirm, if not on then take it to the manufacturer or a skilled personnel to handle it

hook up computer straight to t.v with hdmi cable. then get two aux cables (usually red and white) and run them straight from tv audio OUTPUT to audio INPUT on bose system. them anytime you want surround sound even when your watching tv just press the aux button on the bose system controller. should be perfect.

Did you say you went in to DVR set-up and checked the component out audio option? I have had similiar problems with motorola dvr boxes and once I was able to enable audio output option the dvr digital output was fine. Find the manual for the model dvd and this may cure.
