I have a gateway ms2273 and it appears that i have a camera built in but i can not get it to turn on

1-See if your hdd have recovery partition,otherwise arrange a windows disk to check further.
2- use windows live bootable CD to check hdd.

Looks like you need to look again at the hard drive, or buy a replacement if it is not working correctly.

You can try switching off the comp. then remove the battery at the back of the laptop then wait for a few seconds before putting it back.

what exactly is the issue ?

Typically you should be using configuration software until a real IP can be setup and you either address it statically or turn on DHCP. As for the gateway and other information, on a wireless gateway, it should all be routed through the network. Also, I think you have to be wired to the WAP to access the config page, I don't believe it can be seen over the wireless connection as a security feature.

If its vista just press start and type in "camera assistant software"and press it.

Try this >>>>>>>>>> reset the modem by pulling the power from it for 30 seconds, then plug power in again, leave it for 2 minutes to reset and then try to reconnect.
