Re: original xbox power problem

A common problem caused by corroded traces on the motherboard.

Easy to fix with a few jumper wires.

Re: original xbox power problem

This happens often "without pounding the buttons". All four of my Xbox originals did this. You need to replace the power button assembly. It's rather easy to replace. Click this link to the part.

Re: original xbox power problem

You been pounding on the buttons? if you havent taken apart the console and messed with the front panel. then imma assume something has been striking the buttons hard and theyve dampened in so hard that they dont work anymore "the contacts dont make good electrical contact" the best thing is to go to llama.com and order a new front pcb assembly for it.

Try turning off the 360 then turning the xbox on its side, turn the machine back on holding the eject button and the power button together for about 30 secs then the machine should function normally

Xbox360 wont play origanal xbox games

Some XBox games have both a 360 and original XBox version, so you can't play them on the 360. Other games simply aren't compatible. Your game may fall into one of those two groups.

Xbox 360 won't eject with front button.

Depending on your Xbox slim(black) or original (white), you can hold down the Xbox button, or go to the main menu and eject from there manually, this is a temporary bug, it also dependes on the ae of your xbox so don't mess with it and retry every few hours

My xbox360 powers up with a green light from the middle and thats it , it don't work or connect to the controllars (not wirelessly or by the usb port) . and the four circling light don't work .please help

switch the xbox off and if you have any hard drive etc connected to the xbox or usb devices disconnect them , then switch it back on while holding the sync button, the one you press to pair the controllers with , hold that for 30 seconds and then release it, see if it will show up on the tv. If it still wont show anything on the screen , check all cables, borrow one that you know is working to try on it. if that doesnt work try another power supply. The best way to test it though is to take it to a friends and unplug there xbox and use their leads and power supply to see if yours boots up. Another check you can do is hold the sync button in and press the eject button , if an error is happening the ring of lights will change , you need to press eject 4 times, without letting go of the sync button, each time you press it the red lights will come on, code is as follows

Four lights =0
three lights = 3
two lights = 2
one light = 1

so if you get 433

then your secondary error code is 033

reply with what your error code is here

Original xbox continous blinking green light, no eject & loading

sounds like a bad cable between the console and the TV, the XBOX is notorious for having issues if the cable isn't the correct one (a Microsoft one) or damaged.

the flash green with nothing else happening can be a failed bios.. coma console variant. It's possible to fix it with a chip, but uneconomic considering the price of a working box these days. It can also be a failed ide controller or bad ram..whatever, it's normally a scrapper with these symptoms unless you have a good junkbox...
If you have an xbox that fell it's always worth changing over the dvd drives, as they can cause weird faults as well, (as mentioned above re: unknown disks) as the green flashing is the usual "loading disk" message.

Eject button on my x-box 80 not working

Well it can be a faulty drive, on the dashboard try using the option the says Eject, and see if that works. Also if the drive eject, then keep a DVD or CD inside so is easier for the machine to eject. If that doesnt work, then if you know how to open your xbox, the try putting something that keeps the drive away from the heat sink, because sometimes the problems is that the heatsink is so hot that affects the drive and it damages the drive. But if that doesnt work either then you should replace it with another one with the same model and then flash it with the old firmware from the old drive.

XBOX in Hummer

is it an Xbox or XBox 360? if its an Xbox you shoud look at the front panel in the direct middle of the console. The bigger of the two buttons is your "Eject" or "Open" disc tray button. the smaller one is the "Power" button. i dont know if they have any remotes for the original xbox, but i do know they have one for the 360.
