Is this an issue with any other games you have? If it is then it is likely you will need to clean your laser disc.
However, I am assuming that this is just an issue with a specific game. The disc that you have is likely scratched or faulty to some degree. Replacing this disk is likely the only way you will ever play this game again.
go back get a replacement copy and complain so much they give you a gift card win win. you might get it to work but the dvd manufacturer may have just messed that one up. try and turn bad luck into good if you can otherwise try a little dab of car polish and dont do the wax on wax off method just back and forth or up and down and then wipe with a clean towel. goodluck
Try your Fable 2 disc on a friend's console that you know works and see if it plays. This would rule out the possibility of it being your Xbox for sure. Then it would have to be the game. If you didn't buy it too long ago, look inside the game package and find Fable 2's tech support number or go to their website and try to get a hold of them. Good Luck!
Check the disk for scratches or fingerprints. Any kind of irregularity. If that doesn't help, run a laser lens cleaner once or twice. If still no results, have it replaced. If you know someone with a 360, try it in their machine. If it plays, it's probably a dirty lens.
I got this for my son for christmas along with a xbox 360 60gig. Before he could play the game, it said that the system needed to be updated in order to play fable II. Have you tried updating the system?
