Wrong language

In the menu one of the first options is language. If it is in spanish you may have to get someone that reads spanish to tell where this option in the menu is. Most new remote hand units have up and down and side to side arrows. Clicking the right side arrow usually will make selections, When you get to english if there is a select button or enter in the middle of the arrows, push that button if english is high-lighted or underlined or different color. Snowy picture, no reception?

Hi, Your question "Do bigger TV's need an aerial booster or something?" - No, normally it should work straight out. Boosters are used for fringe location not bigger TV. Pls a questions and some ideas: 1. "TV worked fine the night before" was it hooked up to Cable or aerial? 2. If cable, it is necessary that you change the settings of the TV from cable to STD or Air or something like that. Normally this can be done via the remote, menu, setting, set-up; 3. If aerial, you would probably need the assistance of a qualified service personnel. Apparently something got loose inside the Philips TV, not a big problem because you can still receive (BBC 1) but not the other channels, possibly a loose wiring, a disconnected connector. 4. If you feel comfortable working on it yourself, unplug the tv and the aerial, open the back and poke around. Trace from the aerial jack, the lead wires used, the connector to the main circuitry. Wiggle the wires a bit for any loose connection. 5. If #4 is not to your liking or if you do not find anything or no significant improvement after closing it up and running it again, guess you're back to #3. Hope this gives you some idea. Lots of luck and kind regards from the Philippines.
