There is a little switch on the left side of SD cards; if it's down, your card is locked and you cannot copy anything on it or delete anyfile, also you cannot take any picture by it. so you have to change the switch postion. just this! I hope this helps...

Card locked shows of view finder, cannot take a picture it shows a't picture but won't take a picture

Look at the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Computer won't reconize power shot a530

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

When turned on, my Canon Power Shot A530 has a message that says N imagen, it does not prepare the lens for pictures, just stays with the black screen and the N imagen message.... do you have a solution?

try to change your SD card else There is an external software which you can install in your memory card and then you can insert it in your camera and if it does not work then go to canon service provide

My card is locked, how do i unlock it?

Pull the card out, and make sure that it's not locked. If you're looking at the front of the card it's 1/3 of the way down on the left side. I've got one that has a grey tab and one that is white. They both should be up to unlock it.

Little sliding switch on the side of the SD memory card. Remove from camera, slide switch away from lock position, re-install and you should be good to go.
