You can turn the router upside down. If you see a 10 digit number on the router then try that number.

If there is no 10 digit number then you will need to check the settings on the router.

BROADBAND SLOW NEED TO GET TO ROUTER LOG IN PAGE

to get to the router's login page its almost always the same ip address as your pc minus the last number .. so go to start then run. Type CMD hit enter. Then type ipconfig and note your ip address should be something like 192.168.1.x your router will be the lowest number in the last number . so if your ip address from the step above is 192.168.1.101 your router is probably 192.168.1.100 or 192.168.1.1. Then you would need to google "default admin password router model" where you insert your model number of your router. Then login and tweek the settings you like to make your connection faster. hope that helps.

Can not access router setup page. IP is to be 192.168.1.102 , says can not find. This is the main computer on network, other's are wireless.

The number 192.168.1.102 must be your computer's IP address. If you want to access the router set up then You will need the Ip address of the router.
Is your computer connected to the router with the cable. if not then connect the computer to the router and check the IP address and default gateway on the computer.
Once you have the default gateway number use that number to open the router set up.
Generally the Linksys router IP address is 192.168.1.1.
Try this number.

I have a wireless laptop and my new router wants a pin number before ir conects were can i find the pin number my router is a linksys g wireless adsl2+gateway

pin number or password. the password for the router for administration is admin and admin.... for security you may wish to change them. the pin number is likely for connecting to a secure network. it may actually be on a label on your router or you need to sign into your router to obtain it. first you need to hook into the router with a network cable from your computer to the router. open a web browser and type 192.168.1.1 the hopefully the default password wasn't changed (or you know it) once you have signed in find the tab for wireless security. your code/pin should be in the second tab of the submenu

Can not install the g router

I presume that you are trying to attach a wireless g router between your machine and your isp connection. To do this you need to know about the ip numbering that is going on. Look in internet connections in the control panel to see what your IP number is. If it is 192.168.x.x where x is a number 0 - 255, you are on an inhome network, probably because you are hooked to a dsl or other router. In this case, you want to plug the cable that is currently plugged into your computer intoe the WAN port of the G router and then put a cable between your computer and a LAN port of the G router. Set your computer to automatically get an IP number and reboot. When you reboot, connect to the G router (usually at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 - your instructions that came with the router should tell you the address. You do this just by typing http://192.162.1.1 into the address bar of your browser.) You then need to tell the G Router to DHCP to get an ip number - this is usually the default. When the G router gets and ip number, then the packets for your computer will come through it, then to your computer. You should set up some encryption withing the G router unless you want to share your connection with the neighborhood. If your computer has an IP number that is NOT 192.168.x.x then that IP number and associated gateway, subnet mask and DNS server information must be put into the G router, with your computer plugging into a LAN port of the router and the wire that is currently in your computer plugged into the WAN port of the router. This one will probably need the assistance of your ISP as the information you need may be hard for you to get unless you really play around in control panel. Hope this helped.
