How do I get missing Icons back on my PC screen

The higher the resolution, the more likely you will be able to see your icons.
From Microsoft.com:
1. Open Display in Control Panel. 2. On the Settings tab, under Screen resolution, drag the slider, and then click Apply. 3. When prompted to apply the settings, click OK. Your screen will turn black for a moment. 4. Once your screen resolution changes, you have 15 seconds to confirm the change. Click Yes to confirm the change; click No or do nothing to revert to your previous setting. Note
• To open Display, click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display. • A higher screen resolution reduces the size of items on your screen and increases the relative space on your desktop • You can switch your screen resolution temporarily to 640 X 480 if you have games or other programs that are set to run at that resolution. To switch, right-click the game or program (on the desktop or on the Start menu), and then click Properties. Click the Compatibility tab, and then select the Run in 640x480 screen resolution check box. Your display reverts to its default resolution when you close the program. • Your monitor and video adapter determine how much you can change your screen resolution. You may not be able to increase the resolution above a certain level. • Changes to screen resolution affect all users that log on to the computer. • Only the recommended screen resolutions are listed. For additional settings, click the Advanced button on the Settings tab, click the Adapter tab, and then click List all Modes. Select the resolution, color level, and refresh rate you want.

I can`t change my setting before a game please tell me how

I presume you are referring to changing your screen resolution before a game. As games typically automatically change the screen resolution, I am a bit surprised by the query. On XP systems, you can right click on the desktop, select properties, select the settings tab, and you can alter the resolution in the drop down box. On Windows 7, click the start button, then control panel, then appearance and Personalization. Select from the drop down list the resolution you want and click apply. In Windows 8, you pretty much follow Windows 7 procedures but rather than using a drop down to pick a resolution, you use the sliding bar, then click apply. You might want to write down what the original resolution was set at before making any changes.

Perhaps there is a a way to change resolution in the "setup" or settings menu of the game.

When a monitor displays "Input not supported", the display resolution is set too high. To resolve this, change the resolution to a supported resolution of the monitor.
In Windows XP
  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.
  2. On the Settings tab, under Screen resolution, drag the slider to the desired resolution and click Apply.
  3. When prompted to apply the settings, click OK. The screen will turn black for a moment.
  4. Once the screen resolution changes, confirm the change by selecting Yes. A timer will count down for 15 seconds to ensure the change is desired.
Click Yes to confirm the change; click No or do nothing to revert to the previous setting.
In Windows Vista
  1. Press the Start button , select Control Panel, select Appearance and Personalization, select Personalization, and then Display Settings.
  2. Under Resolution, move the slider to the desired resolution and click Apply.

How do I enlarge the screen to fill the monitor

You can resolve this by checking your computers resolution. How you do this depends on the operating system (ie. XP, vista, Windows 7). In windows XP, click start-->control panel--> display...then under the settings tab you should see a resolution slider. Change that setting to your desired preference. If you are using windows 7 or vista, you can right click on a blank space on your desktop and click "Screen Resolution" . If screen resolution does not exist, just click on "Personalize" and change the resolution settings from there.

Hope this helps
