Still cannot get an answer that works. Everyone sugests the info , menu, mute, power but this does not get me into anything other than a blank screen displaying bbc 1 mono but no sound or picture. everything works fine from external sources but not the internal freeview tuner.Still cannot get an answer that works. Jan 2016 --- Panzo's solution worked a treat, just remember to go into analogue, press buttons quickly, navigate to reset (option#12) and press left arrow which will remove the snow effect in analogue.
Thank you, and the rescanning worked without a hitch. Whew thanks again
my samsung le32 tv is stuck on BBC 1 Mono. i cannot access the D menu or change on to any DTV channels. I am in an area that broadcasts in digital. the tv works ok if I connect a freeview box
I have sort of simular problem with my TV it plays from sources but the freeview is not working + LCD is dim. You can try INFO-MENU-MUTE-ON and select Reset, you have to rescan all your channels again. I currently investigating reprogramming the flash part of the freeview controller via the service port or buying a new controller PCB. Thats as far as I am currently. Thanks T.
Beware: Although the process should be safe, it technically voids your warranty.
Enter the service menu:
1 - turn of tv with remote
2 - press and release in the following order on the remote: Info, Menu, Mute. Make sure remote is pointing at the tv
3 - turn on the tv from the remote
4 - you will see the service menu. using the down arrow on the remote
select the Reset option. Using the right arrow button at this point
will do a hard reset.
5 - Wait a few seconds, turn TV on
6 - you will have to rescan analogue and digital channel but it should be working now.
I also got a black screen! I then turned the TV off, pressed TV and while it was lit, quickly pressed info, menu and then mute. Then switched the tv back on and amazingly......the menu was there. Go to item 12 and reset. I am please to say that we are back in business,
