Help with Blogger

Thanks for clicking guys. I just started using Blogger and I cant get the post size to increase. I can't find an option for it in Layout. The body of the post is very small, about 4 inches across so all of my images and text get cut off in the middle. It's very frustrating, can anyone help? I just want to make the post use more of the available space.

Thanks!

Change the layout - Blogger is kinda limited. Try weebly.com it's easy to use (monk3ybidzness.weebly.com) or synthasite.com (monk3ybidzness.synthasite.com) drag & drop.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Enlarge text size

Create Menu tab right click in the top of screen (toolbar) you will see a number of toolbar options select the menu bar

Increase the Font Size in Email
Email font size is easily controlled while composing messages, but the messages you receive have been sized by the sender.
Some contacts may be perfectly comfortable writing in size 8, but such text can be a strain on the eyes, even with good reading glasses.
The printed hard copies of email messages with small text are even more difficult to read.
There are a few ways to quickly change font size for ease of reading and better quality print-outs.

Open an email message with particularly small text. Increase the email font size of the text using step 2, 3 or 4.
Click on the "View" selection from the menu bar.
Roll the mouse pointer over the "Zoom" choice.
Click on one of the choices that is greater than 100 percent.
Click "View" and cover "Zoom" to make a larger choice if the first choice does not increase the text size sufficiently.

Click the "View" option on the menu bar. Roll the cursor over the "Text Size" selection.
Choose one of the options that will increase the text size.
For instance, if the current size marked with the dot is "Medium," then click "Larger" or "Largest" to make the print appear bigger.

Use a mouse with a wheel to increase the email font size.
Press and hold the "Ctrl" key while rolling the wheel on the mouse.
The text will shrink as you roll in one direction, and grow bigger as you roll in the other.

Change font size before printing.
Click the "File" option on the menu bar.
Click "Print Preview."
Click the "Size" drop down which may display "100%," or "Shrink to fit."
Select a choice greater than 100 percent to increase text size.
Click the "Print" button to view the results on a hard copy.

How to start up a Blog for Blogging

The best way to start blogging is to set up a Google mail email account, if you type gmail into Google or any search engine such as yahoo, bing etc you will be taken to the Googlemail page, fill in all the required information which is easy to follow, once complete you will go to your new Google mail email account.<br /> <br /> Open a new Internet browsing window (search engine such as google) and then type into google, blogspot.com, this will now take you to the blogger homepage, once there you will see you can log in to your Googlemail account, by doing this you are now also logging into blogger.<br /> <br /> Select the option to create blog, on the create blog page choose a Main title for your blog, this can be altered later although you are best picking a good one to start with. It is often also better if you type the name you would like as your title into the check blog address &gt; URL bar and then click check availability. If you desired blog name is available as a URL then go back to the top and choose your title as the same as the URL.<br /> <br /> When all is done you will be asked to select a template for your blog or a background, the first one called simple is the easiest to use and helps you learn more quickly. after you have selected your blog template you will be asked to start blogging, when you go into the start blogging option it will open a window with a small box and a bar at the top for another title, this title is the name of your first post or your first article. again you can alter this later should you require. This title is for a subject and not your main title for the blog, do not pick the same one again unless that is what you prefer.<br /> <br /> Fill in the title and then move down into the main box and simply start to type what it is you would like to blog about. You can add video, pictures and much more to your blog there is options at the top of the box, if you hover over with your mouse cursor they will explain what each option does.<br /> <br /> These options are basic but are enough to get you started. Blogger also has a help forum and a help tab at the top right hand corner of the screen, so if you are unsure about anything click help and type your problem.<br /> <br /> It's that simple to get it up and going, once you have written your first post you can then click publish, your first post is now live and will be viewable right away. A good blog can get tens of thousands of visitors per week if your content is good and your subject interesting. You can also ad Google adsense which is advertisements placed on your blog, you can get paid for having these but normally they are not much use until you blog starts to get thousands of visitors.<br /> <br /> Good luck bloggers.

Where in the HTML do I paste the Google Analytics tracking code? I pasted it just before the '[/body]' tag at the end of the template, but the status on the overview page is "Tracking Unknown". I use...

It'll take 24 to 48 hours for google to start receiving Analytics data from your blogger.com
If you cant wait 24 hours for Google to find it by itself? Follow the steps below to fix it, but please make sure the tracking is already installed correctly like in the image below, before proceeding at all! (Paste the code above body tag) d4b4322.jpg

1)Sign in to Google Analytics and select your site. 2)Find 'Edit' on the end of the bar: 66bfd3e.jpg
3) At the top of the page, on the same line as 'Profile Settings', you'll find something that says 'Tracking Unknown ( Check Status )' e569def.jpg
4)Simply click 'Check Status'; if your tracking javascript is installed, Tracking Status: will turn into something like "Loading" and after a while, it will be successfully tracked!
If not, check your code in blogger.com and try repasting it.

I am frequently getting the warning "Virtual memory low" etc... am therefore wondering how to trouble shoot the RAM memory cards or other things which may be causing this problem. Computer worked fine for...

Virtual memory is the space on your Hard Drive which can be reserved for computer to be used as a RAM. You can change the size of you Virtual memory by performing the following steps:

Click on Start, Right click My computer, click Properties. It will open the system properties window. Click on Advanced TAB, there will be a section called Performance, Click settings under performance, it will open the Performance Options window. Then click on the Advanced Tab and look for Virtual Memory at the bottom. Click on the Change button to change the size of the Virtual memory. You can allow the system to choose the size or you can manually select the size of your Hard Disk to be used as Virtual Memory. If you select the option for system managed size, you computer will automatically increase the size of you Virtual memory whenever needed. Once you select the desired option, Click Set and then click the OK button. Close the performance Option by clicking ok and also close the System properties by clicking OK.

Hope you find this information helpful.

Printing too small

When you select Print, and the Print Window opens, select Preferences. Click on the Effects tab. Look for "Resizing Options". Try using the % of Normal Size and increase the % bar. Not sure how yours is set up, but mine will go up to 400%. Start with 130% to 150% and increase until you get the desired size.

Should you not have a Effects tab, use the Comment button and let me know what options you have.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Unable to upload blog posts with pictures using Microsoft Word 2007. I'm unclear on how to resolve MS Word's request for server information.

Okay. Click the Microsoft Office Button, select Publish, then Blog. When the 'Register a blog account' dialog box opens, selet "Register Now.' In the next dialog box, select 'Blogger' in the drop-down list and click Next. The Blogger entry may not be there initially. If so, click where it says 'Refresh list.' In the next dialog box, enter your username and password to log into www.blogger.com. If you have your own server where you can host image files, you can select the 'Picture Options' button to configure that, otherwise you can just ignore it. Tick the 'Remember password' checkbox if you don't want to have to enter your password every time you post a new entry. Click on the 'OK' button and Word will attempt to register your account and reply with an appropriate dialog.

Have fun posting!
