Motherboard capable of running 533 fsb, running at 133

I have a motherboard using the intel 848 p-a chipset with an intel celeron processor 2.4 ghz prescott.  The problem I am having is that the motherboard is capable of 533 fsb, the processor is capable of 533 fsb. Memory is DDR pc3200 1 ghz 400 fsb.  Video card is AGP 8x.  Computer when started states 2.4 gigahertz at 133 x 18.  I have updated the bios, changed the memory, changed the video card, and still shows 133 x 18.  I have talked to several computer guys and they do not know what the problem is.  Maybe you can help?  Thanks

You would have to run the 533 FSB at times 5 or 6 to get 2.4GHZ.
And if you did you probably would not see any increase in speed
Just because a computer can do something does not mean it should

What type of dual core processor can I use for my dc7600?


The motherboard for the dc7600 has an Intel LGA775 processor socket. However, not all LGA775 processors are compatible with the motherboard. For the small form factor, the following CPUs are supported: Intel Celeron D Processors:

Unfortunately, these are old processors and I don't see any available new. Newegg.com lists a couple available as refurbished. You may be better off getting a new computer with either a Intel I3 or current AMD processor.

Problem with Audio Driver


download astra free edition from the net and run the software....get the sound/audio chipset details from the software and do a google search for it


you would be good to go...if you cant still get the driver get me the audio chipset details from astra and ill send the link to download

you may check
1) your Intel pentium 4 3.2 GHZ cpu socket 478 processor #sl7nb what's FSB?( see on the chip surface, if 533 FSB can use but 800FSB could not match your motherboard if which is not support 800 FSB. that's why no display.
2) check RAM stick speed, try to increase a level, for example 266 to 333.

you can use:

The Mobile Intel® 910GML Express chipset is optimized for the Intel® Celeron® M processor.

Here you can compare the 910gml chipset and 945 which is used by the core 2 duo.

As you can see on the page there are key difrences between the chipsets other runs on ddr2, yours on ddr. the FSB support is 400 on yours and 533 / 667 on the 945.
