Question about RCA D52W19 52" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Tv went off by itself

I have the same problem with my Hitachi rear projection tv. It just turned itself off last night when watching tv. I did the unplug the cord from the wall for 30 seconds and replug it in trick but it still didn't work. I called Hitachi and the guy I talked to just told me the same trick and that he wasn't a internal tech. or whatever. I even unscrewed the back if the set to see if there was a blown fuse of some sort, but the only fuse I found looked normal to me. Then when I plugged it back in a light came on in the back and then a few others came on and they all went off. Anyone have any solutions on this? I thought it might be somethign with the power supply, but I am guessing.

Re: tv went off by itself

When you turn the tv on all the voltages come up for a second but the power supply is sensin a problem and it kills the high volatge and other voltages.One of the voltages the supply sends has a short.The tv needs to be service because components need to be checked and then replaced. Be safe and Seek the help of a technician to diagnose the problem.

Projection TV turns off for a few seconds

Good Day, boattech1;
To my understanding the Model 53UDX10B is a rear projection, that uses no fans. I think maybe your LAMP may be getting weak.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

Good Day;
Try this:

Symptom: All Front LED indicators are flashing in sequence: Power-->Temp-->Lamp-->Power......continuously
Cause: Replace Lamp . This symptom may happen all the time or it may be intermittent. It is normal if it occurrs from time to time, See OG under TV Front Indicators explanation notes.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

Two main things to check, First check R964 for broken or loose solder connection. Then check I901 Part # CZ00868 might be leaky.

This has happened a couple of times--no big deal, it just seems to need "re-booting". Try holding 'home' button and 'sleep' button at the same time for 15-30 seconds. That should do it.
