Well if the foot pedal isn't working, you can either replace it with a new one or take the machine to a sewing machine repair shop & let them check the foot pedal & see if it's fixable

SOURCE: Designer 1 foot pedal won't work

Have you tried using another Designer 1 foot control? It is more likely that the problem is a loose connection at the machine. Do not cut anything apart on the foot control unless you are certain that is where the problem lies.Take the machine in to an authorized dealer and have them test it for you. Find out EXACTLY what is not working. No need to buy a foot control and find out that the connectors on the machine are not properly attached.

Testimonial: "Good idea. My dealers are sometimes unwilling to hook up my parts to their machines, but it is worth a try. Thanks!"

SOURCE: My Singer Inspiration machine doesn't want to work. If I manually move the handwheel, it will sew a few stiches, but, if I press the foot pedal, it just revs really fast, but doesn't move the

Move bobbin winder to LEFT. Your machine is set to wind a bobbin.
Hope this helps!

My grandmother recently gave me her industrial singer 49 d200ga machine, and i love it because it works fine. However, when I brought it home, the foot pedal stopped working properly. How can i get it

Is your industrial machine one that has a big motor mounted under the table? If so make sure the power cored is plugged in. Also if your pedal is not installed properly it will sometimes flip forward get bound up and won't allow the proper throw to run the motor. Since the pedal doesn't supply power check the linkage to the motor.

Foot pedal not working

Well, you are definitely getting power from the electric plug in.

Let's do some diagnostic work. Do you hear anything when you press the foot pedal? Any hum? Did you happen to leave it in bobbin winding mode?

your machine doesn't have a "sew" button for use without the pedal. So please rotate the hand wheel toward you as you press the pedal. Did the motor take over and sew?

If you know someone with a meter... have them test the pedal. (they will place probes on/in the part that plugs in which tests for shorts, etc.) If that tests ok... then we know it's something more than the pedal and it will need servicing by a Singer Tech.

I have a Singer Sewing Machine #9444. There is no electrical getting to my machine since the light doesn't work and the foot pedal doesn't work after I turn on the machine

Try replacing the light bulb or rerouting the wire so it won't be affected by the light bulb or the foot pedle. Becarefull though because if you rerout the the wireing in the foot pedle you're taking away the off/on swich so it'll stay on. You may want to open up the foot pedle and see if there is anything loose, not conected or broken. The pedal is used as an on/off swich so it may just be stuck in the off position and not making contact when you press down on it so it won't turn on.
If you can't fined a blulb for it by the way you can disconect the socket where you screw it in and install a new one. Make sure the new one will fit in the same hole though. Then it should be easy finding a bulb for it. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE MACHINE IS DISCONECTED BEFOR YOU DO ANY OF THESE THINGS. Good luck!
