Emails stuck in Outbox

I have two emails that I cannot send or delete from my Outbox.
I have done a search and found two Outbox.dbx files and delted these and sent them to the recycle bin, but they still show in my Outbox.
when I go into my out box to try to delete these two emails all I get is the hour glass. Any anyone know how to clear this up?

Thank you. I was able to delete one of the two stuck emails.

I repeated the process and now all I get is the hour glass and I am forced to "end the process"

I still have one email to remove.

I have sent three emails and they are still stuck in the outbox. I receive mail regularily. I have the XP Pro with S{2. I have searched for the DBX file but it won't find it for me. I would have deleted it and hope that the rebuild upon reboot would work. But now I am stuck trying to find the DBX file. Carl, Arkansas

Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Send/Receive > Clear check mark on "Schedule Automatic Send/Receive every .. minutes" > OK

Close your Outlook > Open Outlook again > Go to Outbox > Select The message > Send To/Move To Draft

Go to Draft Folder and delete it from there

Sent Messages are stuck in Outbox and many copies are sent

You may have removed some items from your sent box as you are saying but it still may reflect a size larger than its capacity.

Go to tools-options-maintenance-store folder: Copy the location in there and place it into your "run". this will open up the folder for the .DBX files. If "Sent Items.dbx" is larger than 2G there is your issue, you have no more space to hold sent items, hence it is going out but not moving to the "sent" box.

Hello
I havent seen that problem with Outlook Express just with Microsoft Outlook. but this solution should work with outlook express to.
here how you solv it. you need to remove the outbox file manually. remember that all your outbox files gonna be deleted.
step by step.
1.close outlook express
2. go to C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\("alot of numbers here.->"{7850C6E6-099E-4EFD-A3F5-A88CA4FC6169}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\

* if you can find Local settings you need to show hidden files!
a. go to tools>folder options->view-> mark show hidden files and folders-> ok
