Acer Aspire 4930 heats up very quickly

When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

USB port getting HOT

These ports can get quite hot & things attached can draw up to 1 Amp of current, and this can make things quite warm over time... as it draws heat away from the device. Keep an eye on it though.

It heats up and shuts down after about an hour of use.

Don't know anything about that particular type of laptop but laptops and notebooks heat quickly and can burn out permanently if they get too hot. Are you keeping the bottom vents clear so it won't heat up?
What length of time does your manual tell you your batter will run without needing another recharge?
How old is your battery?

Daytona 955i running hot

That is quite normal - these bikes run very hot and will typically reach temp where fan kicks in (103 deg C) while bike is sitting at idle, even if not particularly hot weather. Needs good airflow through the rad to keep the temp down.
Fortunately, when fan comes on it lowers the temp quite quickly.

Dell laptop gets hot quickly

Get some compressed air from Radio Shack or other place that sells it (unless you have a small compressor) and blow out the laptop. My laptop gets dusty very quickly since I live in the desert and I blow it out at least once a week to keep it from overheating. You will be amazed at how much dust will come out. Let me know if this helps.
