If you're using media player to RIP your cd-audio then it's most likely that your music format will be wma.

Try to convert the cd again by turning off "wma protection" or better to transfer it to mp3 format then re-transfer it to your ipod.

Are you an IPod greenhand or new user to iPod? Are you annoyed with how to transfer iPod playlist to iTunes? So, how do you get iPod playlist to iTunes? Factually speaking, it's not difficult to do it. All that we what we have to do is to make sure your iPod connect to your iTunes and that you follow the instructions below.
But, just like everything surrounding the App Store, there is always an "App for that". iPod to computer is one of those apps that provide you a fast way to transfer iPod playlist to iTunes.

The iTunes program servers as both a media player and a database for the content you've added to it. The program window lists your songs and videos so you can see what you have, but the actual files themselves are stored elsewhere. In the default location, your files are nestled inside subfolders within the iTunes program folder on your hard drive.
If you're like a lot of iPod listeners, one of your favorite things to do is make up new playlists. You might spend hours each week working on making up new lists for different occasions. You've probably got a list for doing homework or work, a list for working out, a list for driving in the car, and a list for a romantic date. Having all these playlists can be a lot of fun, and sometimes making them can be a little addicting, too.
This is why many people love the on-the-go playlist making application on their iPods. With this application, you can put any song on your iPod into an impromptu playlist. Maybe you want a brand new list to express your mood for today. Maybe you're just on a roll with discovering new music and are making a fantastic playlist for a friend. Either way, making these lists can be fun and interesting.
The problem, however, is that you can't save or label on-the-go playlists. If you leave them on your iPod, they'll just be named on-the-go and called by the order in which you made them. You won't be able to rearrange them or fine tune your playlist making skills like you can when you're actually making a list in iTunes.
If your iPod is broken and all you want to do is that transfer all the files to iTunes? How can you to transfer then? Maybe you are worried about these problems and think that it is hard to do it because the restrictions by apple. Here I want to say it is easy now as longs as to use a software to help us and then we can get what we want easily.
Here I want to choose Cucusoft iPod Transfer according to the long-term good test.
Before you run our program, please be sure you have installed iTunes on your computer, and you can manage your ipod device with no problem.
Step 1. First connect your iPod to your computer via USB cable. Then install and run iPod Transfer. After done, the playlist will be shown on the main interface as below. All the playlists and other files will be shown on Cucusoft transfer below.
Step 2. Copy the playlist and transfer into iTunes library from iPod.
Step 3. Click the "Export" button and start to copy ipod playlist to itunes library right now. Choose Export to iTunes and OK.
Now you have successfully copied ipod playlist to itunes!

I want d................... music to media libary

You can say it, "download"...
There are many options that are legal.
You can rip a CD you purchased onto your library using Windows Media Player (or other software) (I do not condone software piracy)
There are PEER to PEER networks that provide options (including alot of viruses)
You can also transfer an old list to a new list, Windows media player can search your computer and attached devices for additional files and transfer them according to your preferences.

I hope this helped.

good luck and don't forget to vote!!!

I dont know how to add songs to a folder in my computer

Click on "My Computer", select C drive then File "New Folder" then type in a title for the folder such as "My Music" then when ever you download tell the download site to download to this folder. This will make it so you can easily find your music folders. If you have the music on a Cd then open "My computer" select the drive with the Cd icon by right clicking on it and then selecting "explore" this will give you access to all the music files on the drive. Click on one of the files to select it, as indicated by a solid color change, then hold down the "shift" key on your keyboard and press the "down" arrow to select the rest of the files, then click "edit" "copy" then go back to My Computer and select the "C" drive and highlight the new "My Music" file and then click "edit" and "paste". This is just one method, a harder one in some ways, to copy files from a disc to the hard drive. From here you have the source of all the files for your "you tube slide show"

How to transfer windows media player muisc to iTunes

You may have some music on Windows Media Player, and you want to add them into iTunes library for your new iPod or iPhone. Or you may want to move your iTunes bought music to Windows Media Player for portable devices such as Zen, Zune, Phone, Sansa, Archos, MP3/MP4 Player, etc. It’s easy to do that. And this guide will show the steps to do the job.

Part1. Transfer Windows Media Player music to iTunes

Step1. Open iTunes and select the File -- Add Folder to Library menu.

Step2. Browse to your Windows Media Player music folder. iTunes will ask you where your songs are located, which by default will be in your My Music folder on Windows XP, or in your Music folder on Vista.

Step3. Convert Windows Media Player songs to AAC format (.m4a). If you have files in WMA format, you will be prompted to convert those WMA files to AAC. This is a necessary step if you want those tracks available to play on your iPod or iPhone. If you have a large music library in WMA format, converting WMA to AAC may take a long time. Plan to do this at a time when you can leave your computer on and walk away to do something else for awhile. You can also import your WMA files as MP3 instead, which also allows them to work with your iPod, but makes them more portable if you buy something else in the future.

iTunes doesn't modify your original music files from Windows Media Player. It leaves those songs in their original location and makes copies in your iTunes music folder.

Part2. Transfer iTunes music to Windows Media Player

Because iTunes music has DRM protection, you can't easily import the music into Windows Media Player by drag and drop. There are two ways to transfer protected music from iTunes to Windows Media Player.

Method1. You can use iTunes to burn the music to a blank CD at first, then use Windows Media Player to rip the music CD, the DRM protection will be remove during the ripping process, then you can rip the CD into WMP library. This way is good for tranferring a few music. For large mount of music, it would take a really long time to transfer music.

Method2. If you don't have blank CD disk or you have many iTunes music need to transferred to windows media player. You can use DRM Media Converter. It can legally convert the protected iTunes music to non-protected MP3 music, then you can easily drag and drop the MP3 music into Windows Media Player.

Step1. Download and install the DRM Media Converter , the file size is about 7 MB. I have scaned it with Norton Virus protector and AVG spayware protector, it's safe without any warning.

Step2. Run the DRM Media Converter, Click Add to import iTunes music, which by default will be in My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music .Or you can run iTunes, click Edit -- Advanced Tab, there you will see where your iTunes media folder location.

Step3. Set the output audio format as "MP3 - MPEG Layer-3 Audio (*.mp3)"

Step4. Click Start to run the conversion, it will take a little bit time to finish the job, then click Browse to located your converted mp3 files, drag them into Windows Media Player, done.

How to remove DRM from Rhapsody, Amazon Unbox

"I am thinking about subscribing to rhapsody because they have unlimited downloads for a monthly payment. Then I found that those music and videos are DRM protected so they wont work with my ipod. But can I remove DRM from Rhapsody? If it is ok what is the best DRM remover/converter?"

Also, Amazon Unbox, which was rebranded as "Amazon Video on Demand", only play in desktop applications that support Windows Media DRM, thereby excluding devices such as iPod or Zune. Then, how to remove DRM from Amazon Unbox files and enjoy them on other player?

Have you met situations like these? If yes, here is a detailed tutorial about removing DRM from online music provider, such as Rhapsody and Amazon Unbox.

To remove drm from Rhapsody, Amazon Unbox, the methods of removing Rhapsody DRM listed below:

1: Remove DRM from Rhapsody, Amazon Unbox for free.

CD burning and ripping
First, insert a CD-R or CD-RW disc into your drive, and burn your playlist onto the CD. Then have the other media player import the songs off the CD and save them . When the music is imported off the CD, they are no longer DRM protected.

It is the most commonly known method. But it is costly (waste CDs) and time consuming, especially when you have a lot of music.

2: Remove DRM from Rhapsody, Amazon Unbox using Wondershare Media converter.

Using software to remove DRM from Rhapsody is much easier and quicker. As far as I know, wondershare media converter was one kind of this. After giving a test for some free trials I found it is a good Rhapsody DRM removal software with high output quality, professional, and easy of use.

To remove DRM from Rhapsody, Amazon Unbox , what you need to is just the 3 easy steps:
1. add DRM protected music and video to it. You can preview your files by double-click it.
2. Choose output format. You can reset the output path too.
3. After that, the only thing you need to operate is just click the start button, and the converting process is starting. After converting, the files are DRM-ripped.

After you get the output music and video files converted from the Rhapsody or Amazon Unbox playlist, you can now begin to transfer the files to your iPod, iPhone, Zune, etc.

How do can you burn a music cd

First the best thing to do is put all your music from you CD's from to your computer, by using windows media player and clicking on RIP CD and press start RIP. Once you rip all files to Hard Drive use your burner program. I use Nero, but most burning programs using similar fuctionality. If you only want to copy entire CD instead, just go to burning program and select COPY CD. Follow on screen instruction.

Depending on your burner program you can burn audio CD's quite easily. I myself use Nero and can guide you through the process.
Depending on how you have your desktop setup, I click on me Nero Smart Start. If you don't, then see if you have it under program files and run it.

FOR FULL PROOF RECORDINGS USE NERO AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Once started move mouse pointer on to the audio symbol
  • Click on Audio CD or MP3 CD (Audio Cd for all stereo systems with Cd player and mp3 for only mp3 players. MP3 hold files of music in megabytes and Audio is in minutes and can only fit 89mins on disk)
  • Now a separate box opens up and click on add
  • Another window will open. Need to select My Documents on left hand side in blue writing (That's where Media player stores music)
  • Then double click on My Music Folder under the name category.
  • Then double click on any of the folders of music for example I might have a folder of Mariah Carey, Metalicca and so on and click again on another directory(separate directories if more the one cd if some band here). In each folder will be the music files or names
  • Onec chosen folder click on each individual song and press add, you can also preview each track if no name and only track number
  • You can also click the Green arrow in the right top hand corner to go back to previous folders and click on the ones require to select other songs from other folders.
  • Click on Finish, check if you need more music and add if so, if you have too many deltee them
  • Then click next
  • Make sure blank CD-R 80mins is in drive
  • Select the writing speed and set to 16 speed, as some CD-Players are older and can't read above 16x
  • You can select also How many copies if you like
  • Click on Burn and wait till complete, about 10mins to burn.
  • Once complete click on ok to successful burn and close down Nero. CD will spit out and play CD in a CD player
  • one perfect recording done!

Do you have to have "Secure Disc" installed before you can burn CD's? How do I transfer my music from windows media player to a disc using the external burner? Sorry, I'm computer challenged. ...

hi frankie;
you can use third party software to burn your songs into the disc or you can use the built in burner of Windows. What operating system are you using? some things you need to check before burning:

1. cd-rom capable of burning?
2. is it a cd rewritable or a dvd rewritable?
-you can use cd-r or cdrw on dvd rewritables but not dvd-r/dvdrw on cd rewritable.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1. locate the songs you played on your media player in your computer, highlight it and right click one of the highlighted mp3 then select copy from the list
2. Insert the cd into your optical drive ( cdrom or dvd rom).
3. Open My computer and double click your optical drive icon.
4. Right click on the empty space inside that window and right click mouse then paste
5. There should be a link at the left side of the window that says "Write these files to CD"

***frankie; i would just like to remind you that the music burning im referring to is mp3 music, if you want to burn audio cd, you need 3rd party software for that.

Some cd players(discman, etc.) only play audio music format and not of mp3 format. Provide me details of what you want to do and i will help you. :)
