most common causes of this problem are a defective water inlet valve or
a stuck float switch. The float switch sits under the dish racks and
sends a shut-off signal to the dishwasher when the water level is high
enough. Make sure you only use a Maytag-compatible replacement if you
have to change out your dishwasher's float switch or water inlet valve.
