P5sd2-x motherboard installed, load windows, then continual blue screens. Phil

    Hi Douglessd,

That was the end of a very long saga, had a lot of trouble even getting it to load windows, tried a variation of memory, bios updates, bios reversion to older versions, I have one board that doesn't even get that far, you can open the bios, do your thing, exit, commence to load windows (formatt etc) ... guess what.......blue screen. (Yes I finished up buying another, but that one I at least was able to load windows, but that was all. After the initial loading, it was all over) I'm thinking about binning them, but I thought perhaps I would give them one last try.

    Cheers,

    Phl

Will it boot in safe mode?
It is probably a corrupted system file but that is just a guess, you have not given us much to go on.

One thing I would try is to take out all non esential bits. Remove any cards, leave only one memory chip in, Then swap bits to see if the problem goes away. I know this is time consuming and it sounds like you have done some of this already.

You have two mother boards with a similar problem?

Are you using any common bits while trying to get them working?

The bin might be the way to go but I guess you have to convince yourself that they are stuffed.

hello csvaibhav22, have u already install the VGA driver? maybe u need to check if your VGA is right installed or not at device manager.
go to start menu then type devmgmt.msc at search box, u will get the link then click it. after device manager window is open then check the display driver. if there is mark (question or exclamation mark) then u need to install the driver. u can find the driver at motherboard CD.
1. insert motherboard CD to CD/DVD drive 2. on device manager window, right click display the mark then choose update driver. 3. when installation window open, then follow the guide (if u don't want to get confuse, then just click next till it finish the installation). your driver will automatically installed.
hope this useful, regards.

Usually Windows 7 does a pretty good job with the video drivers.

You can try downloading the driver from the manufacturer's web site at:

XP needs an PATA disk to install, it won't do it on a SATA disk. So just add a small IDE disk besides the present SATA one and install XP on it (and only it). Then load all your files and installed programs and files to the SATA one.
This board is a custom one, made for Fujitsu - there is no new BIOS for it anywhere.

Windows 7 drivers for asus p5sd2-vm

Hi supunkkds,

Windows 7 should be able to install the drivers for that motherboard automatically. You don't need to update any drivers except for the updated NIC(network) HERE.

Hope this helps.

My audio is not working showing audio deviceonhighdefinationbus

Hi abdulaziz021,
click on the Asus link below. As the site loads, choose your operating system from the drop down menu. Download the audio driver & install. Make sure your AC'97 is set to AUTO/Enable in the bios.
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P5SD2-A&SLanguage=en-us
If the audio driver fails to install, check windows control panel, sounds and audio devices. Make sure AC'97 is listed the Audio & Voice tab. If not post here.
