Display shows UNLOC DOR err after self clean-Oven cold, door physically unlocked
After a self clean cycle yesterday, trying to set oven to bake gives "UNLOC DOR" on display. Oven is cold, door is physically unlocked. Tried cycling lock handle, and cycled power several times. Thanks!
Re: Display shows UNLOC DOR err after self clean-Oven...
Looks like a problem with the door switch. Unless the door is closed properly, the machine will not work. I would suggest replacing the door switch / door lock to rectify this issue.

Never Ever use cleaning cycles. 8 times out of 10 they break things, oven elements, door catches and even circuit boards. You will need a service visit. click here
First take out the racks (unless they are coated with the same porcelan coating as the oven interior). Press the Clean or Self-Clean button. Press up or down arrow key - 3:30 will show in display which represent time in hours and minutes. You can press the up arrow key for more time, or the down arrow key for less time, but usually the default time is good. Then just press Start. The door will lock and the oven will turn on. In 3 1/2 hours the oven will turn off, but the door won't unlock for another hour.
You will need to allow oven to cool, the temperature is one thousand degrees plus while the oven is cleaning. Until the oven cools it will not open, this is a safety caution. If it will not open after it is totally cooled, it may be stuck, try pushing on the door or pulling it out a bit while trying to move the lever.
Always consult the owners manual when using the cleaning mode on your oven. Be sure it is fully cooled before cleaning any residue out of oven area.
CAUTION: SHOULD AN OVEN FIRE OCCUR,
CLOSE THE OVEN DOOR AND TURN OFF THE
OVEN. IF THE FIRE CONTINUES, USE A FIRE
EXTINGUISHER. DO NOT PUT WATER OR FLOUR
ON THE FIRE. FLOUR MAY BE EXPLOSIVE.
To set the controls for a self-clean cycle:
For satisfactory results use a 2 hour self-clean cycle for
light soils and a 3 hour cycle for average to heavy
soils.
1. Be sure the clock shows the correct time of day.
2. Press Clean. "— — —" appears in the display.
3. Press the Up Arrow until "3:00" appears in the
display for a 3 hour cycle, or press the Down Arrow
until "2:00" appears in the display for a 2 hour cycle.
4. As soon as the Up Arrow or Down Arrow is
released, "CLN" appears in the display.
5. As soon as the controls are set, the motor driven
lock will begin to close automatically and the "LOCK"
indicator light will flash. DO NOT open the door while
the light is flashing (it takes about 15 seconds for the
oven door to lock).
6. The "LOCK" light will glow until the cleaning cycle is
completed or cancelled, and the oven
temperature has cooled.
When the self-clean cycle is completed:
1. The time of day or “END” will appear in the display
window and the “Clean” and "LOCK" light will continue
to glow.
2. Once the oven has cooled down for about 1 HOUR
and the "LOCK" light has gone out, the oven door can
be opened.
3. If “END” is in the display and the “Clean” indicator
remains on, press Clear/Off. The time of day will
appear in the display.
NOTE: When the oven is cool, wipe away any residue
or powdered ash with a damp cloth or paper towel.
Stopping or interrupting a self-cleaning cycle:
If it becomes necessary to stop or interrupt a selfcleaning
cycle.
1. Press Clear/Off.
2. Once the oven has cooled down for about 1 HOUR
and the "LOCK" light has gone out, the oven door can
be opened.
3. Restart the self-clean cycle once all conditions have
been corrected.
How the ES 200 operates:
CAUTION: NEVER ATTEMPT TO REMOVE EITHER
THE BAKE OR BROIL ELEMENT WITHOUT DISCONNECTING
ELECTRICAL POWER FROM THE
RANGE. ELECTRICAL POWER IS CONNECTED
TO THE ELEMENTS WHENEVER ELECTRICAL
POWER IS CONNECTED TO THE RANGE.
The ES 200 electronic oven control system is made up
of three parts that control the bake and broil elements,
and the locking of the door in the self-clean cycle.
1. Electronic oven control.
2. Oven temperature sensor.
3. Oven door lock mechanism.
Is the display showing E0-F5?
The Self-Cleaning latch may be interfering with the oven
door causing the Self-Cleaning cycle not to work. If the oven door is
open and will not lock, press Stop/Clear to clear the display, press
and hold the door switch plunger (located in the upper-right corner of
the oven front), and the door latch will unlock. If the oven door is
closed and locked, press Stop/Clear to clear the display; apply
pressure to the upper-right corner of the oven door, and the door will
unlock. Is the display showing E"#"-F"#," for example, E1-F2?
You will need to schedule service.
try to hold down the light switch on the door set it up for another cleaning hit start when oven clean door lock showes hit cancel if that doesnt work try unplugging it for three min fyi the doors can take up to an hour to un lock after cleaning its so it dont burn your face off from the intense heat after cleaning some take 2
If you unplug the range and remove the lower rear cover on your left side you should see the motor with 2 switch's on it. There are 3 possibilitys with it. One of the switch's on the assembly is not working or the light switch for the door is not good. You also can disconect the lead to the motor and connect a power cord to it and that will unlock the door so you can check the dor switch also. if you do not feel comfortable powering up the lock motor then you should call a repair man. But one of the switches is not letting the computer know the dor is locked.
