Re: reply for my problem

What kind of plug do you have on it? You should have a stereo din on it if it plugs into the sound card on board. Let me know what kind of connector you have. Thanks JC

Hello, have you got any headhones? If yes, then plug them into your laptop and play a cd or run something from youtube...can you hear any sound?
Do you have a portable radio or mp3 player? If yes, plug your speakers into the earpiece socket on either one of will be able to get sound out of them if they are working. This is a good test of your loudspeaker system as the output from a radio or mp3 player is of a similar level as that of a pc or laptop soundcard.

I have no sound at all from my Soundsticks. They have never been dropped, I've checked my mixer, and tried both volume buttons. Just no response. There is no visible damage anywhere and they have always...

Is the power light lit up? If not, double check the AC cord is firmly in the brick adapter, and the plug is firmly in the subwoofer with the arrow facing up. The ac cord may look like it is in tight, but not be. Unplug it and replug it to make sure. Make sure the ac cord is plugged into a good power jack. If you have the brick plugged into a surge protector or power controller, make sure they are on (not off, or 'reset') If you still don't have a light, take the brick to a electronics store (radio shack, etc) and have them check the output voltage. A replacement power brick is not that expensive, especially a third party one.

if you do have the light on, try plugging them into an MP3 player, cd player, or pretty much anything with a headphone jack. Hit the vol up (+) a few times.
If they work there, it's a computer sound issue (wrong plug, muted, headphones plugged in, etc) . If it doesn't work using an mp3 player (or equivalent), you may have a bad audio cable, or the speakers may have simply gone bad.

My speakers are plugged into my computer and when my computer trys to install it. it wont.. so now i have a speakerless computer... they worked on my last one.... i think i need a cd rom install disc or...

You answered your own question! First find out if the speakers are defective or not. If they are standard alalog types with a stereo 3.5mm plug on them you can try them on any standard MP3 player or walkman.

Set your computer up with your old speakers to make sure you have should. Then remove the old speakers and connect your new speakers in.

If your speakers are digitaly driven then you will most likely have to use the install disk for them.

The right speaker stopped working..i tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and nothing!

1. Check that the speaker input cable or input jack is not damaged. Do this but plugging in some other speakers or headphones into the computer and plugging the speakers into a MP3 player or cd player.

Do that to verify a hardware problem

Z-2300 remote does not work

Fist plug it into something other then your computer like a walkman or mp3 player, cd player etc. If it does work then it is the original device (computer I am guessing) If it doesn't work it is the speakers. These models have lost of problems and this appears to be one of them. Some have a sub button on the back of the speaker with turns the sub off seperately.

Amplified Speaker System CA-3080 On But No Sound

Do you have a walkman, mp3 player, or any other portable stereo that you can test out the speakers?
This would be the 1st thing I would try. Place the plug that you would have normally going to your computer, and place it in the ear jack of the portable stereo or mp3 player. If you have sound, then I would make sure that your plug is in the correct jack in the back of the computer. Usually, the color of the jack is Green but that isn't written in stone. Just look for the speaker out or "out" where the sound card is located.
Try that and see if you get anything.
Get back and let me know and we can go from there.
Good luck.

Speaker doesnt give sound

Based on the fact that you have put a headset in and another speaker system and it is working properly there is nothing wrong with your windows settings. I would leave them alone. The issue appears to be with the hardware. Have you attempted to plug the speakers into another source (ie. cd player, ipod, etc)? If you plug them in there and they don't work, take the speakers back and have them exchanged. If they're not under warranty you're going to have to either get them fixed or replace them. Good luck on this one! JC
