Re: laptop wirless connection
On the bottom right corner, click on the network icon and then chose the "connect to a network". then choose the wireless network you want to connect to. If it still does not connect, then switch off the router and plug it back again. If it stil does not work, then check if the wireless button or switch in the laptop is switched on or off. Sometimes this button switches off unknowingly.

if you can connect to your wirless AP from other devices such as mobile or other laptop this means that you have to check the following: 1- delete then re-create your wireless profile . 2- make sure that your wireless adapter is cofigured to obtain automatic ip address not static. but if you are not able to connect with other devices , then make sure that you have the correct security password (if any) or check the configuration of your Access Point.
1.Go to the run option, type in services.msc 2. Click on wireless zero configuration, click stop and start..if its on start, just on start. 3. Check your network and internet connect, or network connection in the control. see can you find the wirless network. 4. Make sure you have the ssid displaying in your router.
you need to change your wirless settings.
I gues you have a high level security assigned to your router like WPA-PSK with a passphrase or WEP with 128 bit encryption.
Solution is :
Login to your router page and change the wireless security to WEP 64 bit and assign 10 digit number as a password in key 1. change your wireless name and click apply. and then try to connect to your own chnaged network.
FIRST OF ALL YOU CAN ATTACH ROUTER TO ANY PC WITH LAN CABLE
AND CHECK IT IS WORKING OR NOT
IF IT IS WORKING THEN
REMOVE THE LAN CABLE
IF YOUR WINDOW IS XP THEN GO TO START SETTING CONTROL PANEL AND NETWORK CONNECTINON AND CHECK THE WIRLESS CONNECTION AND FOUND THE WIRLESS NETWORK
THEN WIRLESS NETWORK FOUND
AND CLICK THE CONNECT
IT IS WORKING
Are you sure you are reconnecting to the wireless router or not? If so please go to the wireless connection wizard and search again for the wifi connection and make sure that you are actually connecting to the wireless network.
You can also reset the wireless router from the reset button that is on the router itself (refer to manual for the location of the reset button) and try and to the above again.
