Black screen When I turn the set on it will come on for about 30 seconds and then the screen turns black. I put in a new lamp but it still does the same thing. Audio is fine. Something else I can try?

Make sure its an original Osram or Philips bulb inside the housing. If its a cheap lamp it will act this way. If it is an original lamp, then you may have a power supply issue. It shouldn't affect your TV but you may want to try resetting the lamp timer by following the instructions that came with the lamp.

While pressing the VOL- button on the projection display, hold down the number 0 button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
When was the lamp last replaced? Some of these if set comes on and lamp is not bright enough will blink or shutdown just before total failure of the lamp.
When it last worked normally was it just a bit darker?
You cooould have a bad ballast, but it's probably either that you put the lamp in wrong, or you have a defective lamp though. There's a 33% chance that any of those are the case. Unplug the TV for 30 seconds. Plug it back in. Try turning it on again. Make sure you didn't over tighten the lamp during install. Especially the screw on the side. It should be a tight connection. Send the lamp back and get a new one. Usually they come with a warranty. If the new one doesn't work, it's either the ballast, or the power supply.
If the lamp light is lit, it is likely a bad lamp. If you remove the lamp from the set, you will either see shards of glass in the housing and/or a very cloudy reflector (it should look like a mirror).
