Orange globe keeps appearing on my dlink dir655 and it disconnects internet

First try replacing your LAN cable between you internet modem and the router. A bad cable the is intermittent may cause this issue. Try rebooting the modem. I wonder if your 'Active Wireless LAN' checkbox, found under 'Network > Wireless LAN > General Wireless LAN tab' is really checked. If so, and yet, your router doesn't broadcast, then I suppose its hardware is faulty.

Try restoring the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and pressing the RESET button on the back of the Belkin for 7 secs. Then connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Belkin, open IE browser and type the configuration IP address and configure the wireless settings ie. SSID, encryption etc. The computer wireless cards will need to be configured with the Belkin wireless settings to allow them to communicate with the Belkin.
