Okay my tv was making a buzzing sound like electricty was going from something to another thing. If I left it on it happened less. Then today it made wierd zapping sounds and I turned it off. When I turn it on in sparks in the back on the right side and now it just looks bright green with lines. I can still see a picture vaguely. What should I do?

Check the EHT boot cap for damage. Contact any experienced service technician. Extra High Tension arcing is going on inside. Do not turn ON this TV, until the fault has been rectified. It might make more parts to get damaged.
The picture tubes in Zenith sets (I assume it's a Zenith since you posted this with a Zenith heading, although it's also true for any set this old) were only expected to last around 7 years. Your description makes it sound like you are missing green, or that the green is just way low. This is a common sign of a bad picture tube. There are other possible causes, but tube failure is the most likely. The low replacement cost for small TV sets makes repairing this one uneconomical.
Get rid of the set and treat yourself to a new one.
pls don' t open TV back cover it your self becose inside the back cover very High Voltage [more then 29 KV] EHT is working and she is wery dengures in tv on condition
your tv problum is EHT or CRT base so pls check and replace this spear with qualify technicean.
i think CRT Base in focus pin is sperked and pictur on screen is out of focus .Replace CRT Base with NEW . it 's not Expanciv spear.
Hi there Let's make ur problem a bit clear. "white lines" how? where? meaning retrace lines with full raster or a single vertical line? buzzing sound? without even turning the power switch of the TV to "ON" or when u just plug the power cord? I'll check for schema, mean while can u tell me where the resistor leads to? is it a fusible resistor? if so , to which area the resistor suppliers power? Regards Rifaa
Not really a solution but i have the problem with mine< opened it up and it's part number 38-102 or ex3401 which appears to be a open fuse by the AC in on the board. When I bridged the open, melted gap it turned on, smoked, and melted again with a spark so be that as it may there's got to be something going on here that can't be too hard to fix but the repair man will make more on the sale of a new tv than fixing the old.
