Question about HP OfficeJet G85 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have had this printer for a couple of years with zero problems. All of a sudden it won't do anything. It is stuck on "Initializing". We have rebooted. We have unplugged it from the computer and the power, moved it to another room, plugged it into the wall outlet only and it does the same thing - it is stuck on "initializing". We can't even shut it off, it turns back on and runs on "initializing". We were told that it could possibly be the cord going from the printer to the computer but that makes no sence to me when it won't even work as a copier being just plugged into the electrical outlet and not plugged into the computer.
Sounds like your main board has gone out on this unit. We can sell you a replacment board for $45 if interested. Its not too terribly hard to install.
