I broke the green plastic piece off that holds the ink in my sharp ux b700 fax machine where do i get a replacement

Take your ink out of the fax and clean the broken part with alcohol and then just super glue the piece in, it does not have to hold any weight, so you shouldn't have any problem with it if it just holds the ink. Super Glue and plastic work great together.

A piece of the plastic that holds one of the cartridges in place broke. I now keep getting printer cartridge failed. Can I get that little piece replaced??

Hello. If you have that little piece you can reattach it with some clear one minute epoxy. Just do not over do it with the epoxy so you don't end up doing more gluing that you need to do. Other wise you can order parts for your printer. Just go to the following link and order what you need directly from HP

I have an HP Deskjet 6540 which I have owned and had no problems with for 2 years. Yesterday I replaced the ink with new hp ink cartridges number 96 and 97. However, the printer is not working and the icon...

When the carriage is worn out it doesn't hold the ink up to the contacts inside. If you remove the ink and place a small piece of paper behind the connector inside it will move the contacts out to the cart. Also try a piece of tape on top center of cart to hold cartridge in to the contacts better.

Officejet d135 says bad black printhead- Replace the pentagon --

To solve the printing problem..

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

HP doesn't stock any of those small plastic pieces for us to order. The best bet is Ebay or garage sale for a scrapped printer.
