Question about Sampo PME-42S6 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
I think this TV had a quality issue. I had the same problem [sounds the same anyway]. It was an assembly issue. the circuit board in the middle twards the bottom was wedged in but not flat. the bend eventually caused the same type symptons. I removed the board, applied presure over a couple days, heated the board with hair dryer and finally got the board to flatten somewhat. Also had to file one edge of the board to get it to set flat in its slot. Has worked since [over 3 years]. I do not recommend doing this unless you are prepared to throw it out, since this is very unorthodxed.
