Sony cdx ca650x has no audio output from tuner, CD is OK

I have the same problem with the same model, the radio stations cannot be heard, I am in Mexico, they tell me that it is the radio tuner that does not work

sounds like the tuner is bad

instead of used the blue wire on the Sony head unit to the car wiring harness use the blue/whit wire

• Blue - powers on only when am/fm is active
  
• Blue/White - powers on when when radio is on am/fm/cd/ ect.

Belkin as well as many other companies make devices that plug into the ciggarette lighter and then into your iPod. There is an FM tuner controller than sends the music from the iPod to an FM station on your head unit. Belkin calls theirs a 'tunecast auto'. I believe it sells for about $30 USD.

Make sure that antenna is plugged in CXD-C5005 to provide radio signal to tuner, without antenna it wont give you any station sound.

Make sure the attena wire is connected properly.

Just connect together the solid blue wire on the main harness to the radio with the blue/striped wire. The blue wire is for the power antenna and the blue striped is for the remote amp. but if not connected together only the fm/am has outputs to the line output RCA jacks. I learned this through Sony's tech line and it works perfectly now.
