My washer is leaking. I want to get the back off to see where the leak is coming from. After I loosen the back it doesn't want to lift off. What else do I need to do?
The back does not come off,you remove the 2 console screws 1 on each side front of console .flip the console up,you will see to spring clips, pop then out the a screw driver, unplug the wire jack in the middle, now pull the whole case up and forward and you can get to everthing-mike

If you bought a new washer and you still have a leak, i guess it was not the washer but where it drains into. Sink or stand pipe has a leak. unless you are useing the old drain hose from your old washer. Dry up everything and look for the sorse of water with a bright light when the washer drains .
the was exhaust hose is either plugged or cracked. also check the drain it is put into as this sometimes will be puleeged with fabric from the clothes you wash
your just seeing the water that is leaking dureing the wash cycle unplug washer there will be 2 screws on the header panel 1 on each side take them outgently pull header panel to you then flipupunplug wiring harness thas to the cabnet there will be 2 clips 1 on each sideuse a flat screwdrive and pry back they will come out tip cabnet back to you the whole thig will come off look at the pump in the front it has a weep hole in it see if it has been leaking from there
Hi,
Its possible that your trans. is going to need replaced. Maybe have some bad seals on the trans. As far as the water leak goes. Could be a tub seal, maybe some worn inlet hoses, maybe a leaky inlet valve.
We hope this gives you a start on your appliance repair. Anymore questions please feel free to reply back.
The whole cabinet comes off on this washer. Too remove you need to remove 2 screws in console. These may be in back on the right and left ends of console or may be in front on each end. If you can-not find them they might be hidden under plastic end trim. They are located in front of console on both ends. To remove pry them up from the inner lower edge and peel towards outside of washer. Then remove screws and shake console back and forth while pulling up. Console will hinge back. Remove to gold colored clips with screwdriver prying at front. Make note of the position of these clips. Unplug lid switch harness and pivot cabinet back and off. The usual spot for a leak is the pump. Check for stain coming from area on pump where motor shaft enters. The pump can be removed by taking off the 2 clips. Also check small diameter hose that enters side of wash tub in back side. Make sure this is attached to tub.
