How do i turn on my wireless connection on my acer aspire 4530?

Hi, You can activate your wireless connection by either sliding the switch across on the front part of your laptop, where your wrist rests are (across front of laptop) Or try keeping hold of FN and F8 together, or FN and associated F button to activate wireless. Hope this helps, If so please rate, Thanks. If you need anymore info or help, I'll be happy to help

Can't find the button to connect and disconnect the wireless internet connection on our HP laptop: Pavilion dv7-3065dx. Somehow it got turned off and we don't have our manual with us.

Your wireless command switch is not a physical switch. It should be one of the touch sensitive contacts on the media control bar (right above the keyboard). It should look like a little straight up line with comas coming from the top (the idea being a tower sending out radio waves). You should just be able to touch it with the pad of your finger and activate the wireless which will then light up blue like the other "non" buttons.

I?m unable to detect any wireless networks, because the WLAN adaptor hasn?t yet been activated. There is a specific ?hotkey? (function+F1) to enable the WLAN adaptor but the keyboard doesn't work anymore...

Hello shge2dope,

The wireless lan can be activated (enabled) from the control panel as follows:

•Click Start (lower left-hand of screen)
•Select Control Panel
•Select Network and sharing Center (might be called just 'Network')
•Select the wireless lan adapter and enable it

* Another way might be to select the WLAN icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Then right-click and select the option to enable it

If this solution is helpful please click a thumbs-up rating below.

Have a great day,
