When you throttle up there is a lot of smoke (white smoke) and oil spits out. It's enough that it leaves a trail of oil. Just got it started after it sat in garage for a year. What causes this and what can I adjust or do?
I guess you people cant read, he said it is spitting oil out the exhaust, thats has nothing to do with spark plug or carb cleaning...the oil injector is stuck open putting to much oil into the mix....
WOW all these answers are really off base. These bikes have a oil injection system and when it sits, the oil check valve ball and spring get gummed up and stick so that oil drains from the tank by gravity when its turned off and fills motor with 2 stroke oil. also, the oil pump could be stuck in the full open position and flooding the engine with 2 stroke oil. the oil check valve is in the brass, press fit nipple that is pressed into the carb and has the oil pump feed tube attached to it where the oil gets pumped into the carb. you can gently pull out the brass nipple and clean out the ball, spring and passage with carb cleaner. this ball seals off the carb from getting oil gravity fed into it but allows the pump to push oil past it on start up.
hope this helps

Has the bike been laid over? Could be possible that your air filter is soaked with oil and is burning off( smoke) or being forced out of the muffler.
SOURCE: white smoke coming from exhaust
White smoke could indicate coolant in the combustion chamber. Not likely if you have an air-cooled bike. It could also mean that you are running in a cold climate, if the temp is around 20 or less I would call this normal.
If your bike is water cooled I would keep a close eye on your coolant level and oil level. A blown head gasket could allow water to get into the combustion chamber (causing the smoke) or mix with the oil (even worse). If you notice it using coolant I would have it checked out by a mechanic. If you want to check it yourself, do a compression check on both cylinders. If one is rather low, there is your problem.

replace the spark plug 2cycle engines are hard on plugs also sounds like it needs a carb cleaning black smoke means carb is fooding

no, if it starts on the kicker petrol is not an issue, could be battery though

On a 2 stroke bike cause of smoke is due to excess oil in the fuel oil mixture, incomplete combustion in the cylinder or the engine oil finding it way in through the piston rings into the firing chamber. Check the oil levels and clean the plugs, which must be black in color by now, so replace if possible and if engine oil is low, the change the piston rings. Also look up the carburetor jets/nozzles are clean and the engine gets the correct fuel/air mixture by adjusting both fuel and air jets(turns)...sodeep
