Question about RCA D61W20 61" Rear Projection Television
I checked the plug-in, tried to push the power button on the panel, checked the batteries in the remote, and still nothing. The TV is only 2 years old it worked fine till one day after work I came home and it would not turn on. What would cause this and how much am I going to spend if I cant fix it myself? HELP PLEASE!!!
The reason could have been a power surge(lost power in the whole house while you were out)or a lightning strike specially if you have no indication of power(no lights,no click sound),if this is the case you can start by checking the main fuse and it should be close to where the power cord comes in the tv,if the fuse is black you can expect more damage ahead and it will blow up again as soon as you replace it,if the fuse is not black replace it with the same kind and try it,if the unit does not power up you will need the assistance of a service technician to diagnose the problem.
