Question about Elna Heirloom Edition 6005
I need to replace a broken camstack drive gear on my elna model 62C. any pics of how to start removing old broken gear? i have two identical elnas, so can refer to the intact one. just need a schematic to start. thanks, jeannie
I guess i thought i could get some help with starting the dismantling. but of course, except for chit chat, if i don't pay, my affiliation with this site is useless. my machine is 36 years old. i found sewusa that had drawings, but only limited number. yes, when i go at it cold, i will post how i removed the old gear, so someone else can get this help. cheers

I'd suggest that you join the Yahoo group called Elna Heirlooms, their members are very helpful and share their knowledge and love of these Swiss made Elnas. Pretty simple, just go to www.yahoo.com, register as a user, then go to Groups and search for "Elna Heirlooms" and ask to be a member. YOu'll need to give the moderator some info on yourself and why you want to join. Once you are a member you should check out the files and past messages, there is bound to be a message thread on solving this problem.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
