Question about Mitsubishi WS-55819 55" Rear Projection Television
I have an issue with my TV where it will go out of convergence (especially the red) and go to a bow-tie geometry. It appears something is loose in the TV as you can jostly the tv a little and the picture goes clean. Any idea where to look for bad parts?
If you know how to solder on a solid state pruinted circuit board, try to first resolder the convergence IC's. There are two of them, they are black and stand up on a metal heat sink. The IC's will start with stk and have some numbers following that. Sometimes you can get away with resoldering BUT most of the time they have to be replaced. Consult a trained service person if you dont have any TV repair experience as thei like I said is a solisd state set and trhere are really no user replaceable parts inside of them.

Look through your manual. Your manual will always give you the most specific directions for your particular model. Look for an "adjusting convergence" or "set manual convergence" section.
