Samsung tv shuts off and lights blink on off

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

My kenwood vr-616 keeps cutting off while listining to the radio or watching the dvd, I have plugged the dvd into a different power supply and the dvd keeps playing but the system shuts off and the power...

The unit may be overheating and shutting down to protect itself.

Please check the fan grills and make sure they are not clogged up with dust as can often happen to amps and receivers. If that is the case then a vacuum cleaner can be used to remove the dust.

If the unit is inside a cabinet try running it outside the cabinet. If it runs for longer before shutting down then this would indicate that it is overheating.

I had the same problem with my Sony home theater amp/dvd and cleaning out the dust cured the problem.

Please rate my answer if this helps.

Many thanks,

Blinking indicates that the power source has shut itself down because another component has died and it's shorting it. Unless you have experience in electronics it's time to take the receiver to a repair shop.

Un-known red light

Your bass in to high on the receiver or you need to upgrade your speaker wire to handle the power given to your speakers. Or you speakers can not handle the power of the amp. but 1st try adjusting your Bass Level down some to see if that works.

Volume not playing

I would guess that the blinking vol lite is indicating "protect" mode. This is a case where the amp section is shutdown to prevent further damage as a problem has been found. This is usually because the amp transistors have failed. Expect $25-$35 in parts plus the local labor rate.

Blinking Standby

regarding the Pioneer VSX-912 blinking standby light. This is how you reset it; press the "advanced surround" and the " enter" at the same time for about 3 seconds. Make sure you press the ENTER on the reciever (its the one on top next to the small dial) If you press the "ON" instead of "ENTER" it will not work. If an error message comes on and shuts the unit down, just reset it again. This should save you some $$$$. To bad Pioneer did't put this info in the manual.

My 2003 STR-DE995 goes into "PROTECTER" mode

hi roy for starters hooking up more then 1 speaker to 1 input makes the total impedance higher\lower then the reciver "sees" there for u r causing the amplifier work hard and warm it up for no reason attach each speaker to 1 inlet look on the speaker for level of resistance (4 Ω, 8 Ω) and adjust the reciver for that level in that inlet if u want morn power ull have 2 connect the 2 amps in line as you sed, although the Bedini is "old-school" im sure it will do just fine and then u can crash ur whole house down from endless power... its difficult to say without any parameters what kind of connection will be the best result, so just try them all and see what u like the best keep in mind that loud music is hearting ur ears and if ull keep up this way ur wont be able to hear your child not to say when you will b older.... good luck windman
