My 360 turns on for a mili second then no power fan stops
I have xclamped my 360, and there is no power going to the 360 when I switch it on. There is for a mili second then the fan stops. The cpu and other bits are not heating up like they should. The power brick light turns yellow (green to start for a mili second). There is just 3 red lights flasing. I have tried a working power pack but that does the same. I can not send back to microsoft as warrenty void. Can anyone help.

The 2 red rings error is an overheat problem. Something you did when you attempted the previous repair has prevented the 360 from cooling properly. I suggest having a professional examine your machine.
u r going 2 need 2 open it up take the xclamps off so u can get at the CPU and the GPU chips , u will need silicon gel 4 both chips , 1 red light is just the same as 3 red lights its due 2 over heating of both these chips, i had the same problom and after i put the gel on the chips it works fine now, go 2 u tube 4 a video on how 2 take the xclamps off.
First Take it to a shop that is able to re-flow the G.P.U.
with out damaging the P.C. board. And then securely
clamp the heat sink down . Im not sure if Microsoft does this.
Second Take the unit apart , remove the G.P.U.s Xclamp
replace with nylon washers and 4 8-32-3/8 long screws lightly and evenly torque all 4 screws. Place half the
fan over the large heat sink and turn the unit on.
affter 5 min the fan should be at full speed and in
anouther 3-5 min you should get two reds . Unplug
and reassemble . The unit should be working.
If you have any questions just comment and ill respond.
Did you let it heat up untill you get the 2 red rings. If not unplug your fan; turn it on and wait untill you get lights 1 and 3 flashing. turn it off and wait a couple of min. then plug your fan in and add the wind tunnel. then turn it back on. If it still doesn't work you did the X-clamp fix wrong.
Do you have the fan in? If you do, take it out or put 2 screwdrivers through the back holes to stop the fans from spinning. IF you have the fans out and its still not overheating, just leave it on for a while until it does. It will overheat eventually.
