You don't need a wiring diagram. Just pay close attention to where things are plugged in while the old power supply is still in the computer once you remove the case. There are only a few connections and some of them will only fit in the correct slot on the motherboard. For example, the main power to the motherboard will be the largest connector, then you will have a connector to the hard drive, the dvd/cd drive, etc. What you could do it take a piece of masking tape and and fine tip marking pen such as a Sharpie and write where that wire is being plugged into the motherboard. Then when you remove it and put the new power supply in, just refer to where the plugins go based on what you marked on the old plugins. There will also be some plugins that go nowhere. They are there for future expansions and upgrades that you might do.

I have a hp pavilion 515n desktop computer and was wondering how to get the password for the wifi.

Hi Ettajean,

The wireless password can be located either on the wireless router itself (if it's being provided to you by your ISP), or you'll need to log into your router to view/change your wireless password.

If you've connected to the wireless router before and simply need to recall the password, you can view it inside of Windows:

http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-ca/support/networking-and-connectivity/how-to-find-your-wireless-network-password

If you can post the model number of your router, I can provide you with some additional direction.

Hope this helps!

First to replace should be the CMOS battery inside the computer.

How to replace power supply on hp pavilion slimline s3200 pc

I have included a link directly to the upgrade and service manual for your PC. The directions for removing and replacing the power supply are not included. However, there are directions for removing the cover and identifying several parts.

I have replace many power supplies and it does take some attention to detail. I would suggest that you either diagram or put markers on all the cords you unplug from the origian power supply. Generally, the power supply is easy to find and is secured with screws that can be seen on the outside of the case. The power supply will plug into the system board, sometimes in two different places. The power supply also plugs into the hard drive, CD drive, floppy drive (if you have one).
You must be certain that you obtain the correct power supply that is the same as the old one you are replacing.

If you are observant, document carefully and go slow, you should be successful in replacing your power supply.

Here is the link to the manual. It has diagrams and images so you can see what is being described.

I hope that this is helpful.

Loud fan noise

have one very similar, they only have a fan in the power supply, and a small, small fan on the CPU. If it's the fan in the power supply making the noise, some people would say replace the whole unit, some would say replace the fan. I would replace the fan, but if you don't want to take the risk of getting electrocuted, that's probably a great idea. A power supply can be found somewhat cheaply, but one that fits those cases might not be quite as easy.

To see what is installed on your windows XP machine.
Right click on "My Computer". Left click on "Manage". When the window pops up left click on "Device Manager".
This list will show you what hardware is detected by the Operating System.

Hope that helps.
