I had the same problem with my RX580 and spent multiple hours on the net downloading **** after **** that didnt work. I finally had to pay for the solution which included the complete Service and Repair manual for the RX560, RX580, and RX590 and the Adjustment program to reset the Eprom to 0 again. Very detailed with pictures and step by step instructions. Worked like a charm and I finally have a printer after about a month. I can sell you the same kit which I can email to you after $17.00 is deposited in my Paypal account. The service manual is in Acrobat form. Worth every penny..since a service facility will charge 55.00 for the same results. This is totally legit...you can check my integrity by checking my profile on ebay. My user id is edlocc and you can check my feedbacks and email me to verify it is me. Good luck.

How do I reset ink pad error code in my Epson printer l800?

Waste pads on epson record a certain number of cycles.once that number is reached you probably need to change the pad as the machine will not continue to behave normal and refuse to print.try this following link and download the software.it will reset the waste counter and in some cases reset the ink levels as epson always try to get you to replace their ink cartridges when there is still life left in them.....link is ...... http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

You may need to replace the inkpad, it is located under the cardrige park. Also clean the rubber sqeegee blade.
Wear cloves and use a tweezers to remove the ink pad, new ink pads are available online and thru the reatiler that sold you your printer.

I use new remanufactured epson replacement cartridges for my epson stylus nx400. have been doing it wth no problems for a year. left printer idle for 2 mths. tried to print in color and the colors come out...

2Mths is a long time to leave an inkjet unused and it may take several head cleans to clear and blockage (caused by dried ink) A test page will show if and when the heads are clear.

I just bought new ink and nothing prints clearly

If it hasn't printed anything for a couple of years then the print heads will be severely clogged with dried ink. Epson recommends printing a page or two every month to keep the heads clear. You need to try cleaning the print heads, its unlikely that one or two head cleans will clear a badly clogged nozzle. Try doing 4 or 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with a nozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:
http://www.powerklin.co.uk/?gclid=CNGDypir-JgCFQ4yQgodZlC4lw
Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Note that head cleaning uses between 5 and ten percent of your ink cart's, if any are low on ink, have some new ones ready.
If you need to know how to do head cleans & nozzle checks, the user guide can be downloaded from Epson here:

Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

My epson RX590 WasteFull ink

The RX590 adjustment utility is available if you look here:
http://www.servicemanuals.ru/download/epson/adj/590ap.rar
(CHECK IT FOR VIRUS OR MALWARE INFECTION BEFORE YOU USE IT!)

If you just want to reset the waste ink (protection) counter though I would recommend that you use the IPR_A10 utility that Epson have released in the USA...
