Question about Fax Machines
SOURCE: SC350-01 error code
Probably just a dirty "ID sensor". If you remove the drum (carefully) and set aside. Open the right cover, and towards the back of the machine above where the drum sits there is a small LED sensor mounted pointing down toward where the drum sits. Clean this with a tissue, put back drum and try.
If this fails, then the sensor is bad (or broken wire), or there is a circuit board problem (serious). Either IOB board or High voltage board.
Hope this helps.

Turn on or off your error correction to see if it changes also try changing your phone cord.

Testimonial: "Thanks - appreciate the assistance"
SOURCE: I have a Ricoh Aficio
Press the Orange Clear/Stop key, then 1, 0, 7, then press and hold the yellow key. Once the screen changes touch Copy.
Then towards the bottom left touch data log. Use the page down to flip pages until you see "SC/Jam counter reset".
Touch that then the "execute" tab that will pop up. Then turn the main power switch off then on again and that will reset the SC code. However, if you have a fuser problem the code will come back usually within 1 minute. If so then you are going to need repair to the fusing unit. Also DO NOT make any changes or play around in the service mode. You can really screw things up in there if you do not know what you are doing.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
