Please respond and clarify what model HTC phone you have and what happens when you try to charge it.

Also, what charger are you using? Is it the original charger? How about another charger. Do you have a car charger or another wall charger that you can try to use? Just try to narrow it down to a bad charger or if the phone is the problem. Also, if you can find another battery (at your local cell phone store), they should help testing the battery.

I think you have damaged your charging pin in the phone by mistake either by dropping the phone or while taking the cord out or inserting. I think the best way to get this fixed will be to go show it to the store that you bought it from/microsoft store. Hope this helps. All the best.

You have mentioned the you have bought a new charger and a new battery but still your handset wont charge.

The problem is from the charging port on your phone. You will need to change or replace the charging port on your phone to fix the problem.

Try to take your phone to any Sanyo service center or any local phone repairer to help you replace the charging port, it has a minimum charge only.

you can see if ebay have a broken phone like yours and you can use the parts off the phone you buy from ebay to replace the one in your phone.

Phone wont hold a charg and wont turn on
what you have to do is to clean your phone using isoprophyl alcohol i mean you clean the main mother board then you dry it using hair dryer ,after all that try to replace the battery it has reach it death neal the cells inside they are no longer able to hold the charge.advice by dogy.
