LG "NO PICTURE" , IF FIX WILL RECUR? ,DID LG FIX DESIGN FLAW 42PC3D

DID LG ADDRESS THE CAUSE OF THE LOSS OF PICTURE ON PLASMA TV?

THIS IS WAY TOO COMMON A PROBLEM!

REPAIR FACILITY WANTS TO USE A BOARD IT HAS IN STOCK.

NEXT TIME THIS HAPPENS I'LL PROBABLY BE OUT OF WARRANTY.

THOUGHT LG MAY HAVE NEW BOARD FOR THIS PROBLEM.

I turned on my LG 42PC3D Fri. nite @ 8pm At 8:15 it made a load snap sound and the picture was gone. We have had this set less than 2 years and paid a costly price for it. I hope someone from lg will fix it for us, warrenty has run out of course.

I had same problem - no picture, but sound worked - LG 42PC3d - was two months past warranty, but LG agreed to fix it as a warranty call. Service guy was out within a week to replace the Z SUS(?) board. Works fine now. This must be a typical problem, as LG did fix it, even though the warranty had expired. Good luck.

I have a LG 50pg20-ua. Built in oct 2008, Bought 2009, Lost picture, had sound.
I changed the y sustain board first with no results, Z sustain board again with no results. Changed Y- buffer boards, and that was the culprit. TV working good again, And have these extra parts for when it happens again before I sell this to some Idiot like myself who thought "This, is a nice Tv" Man, was the joke ever on me..........

LG 42PC3D Plasma: No picture, good sound

One of the SUS panels will be defect. On these panels you will find several fuses, the panel with the broken fuse must be replaced.
Sus panels are the panels with the big cooling blocks.

BROKEN PLASMA SCREEN

Unfortunately, you'll have to replace the whole plasma screen to fix it. It's the most expensive part of the TV.
The web link below is the cheapest place to get a new screen.
http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=lg+screen&p=2

If your TV is model 42PC3D, they don't have your screen in stock right now. If you look at the other screens that are 42", the are $350 and up. Other web site will charge more than double for the same screen.

Sorry to give you bad news.

LG 42pc3d plasma broken screen

Wow, that sucks. I hope you catch those guys.
Your part number for the plasma display panel is 6348Q-E128N.
Partstore.com is the only place that I can find a replacement plasma panel. The cheapest they have is $1,045.95. :(
Shopjimmy.com sell replacement panels too, but they don't have one in stock for our TV right now. Their priced about $300
The only thing I can suggest is to find someone locally that is selling the model TV, but non-working with the plasma panel not damaged. Then use the panel off that TV.

Sorry I couldn't help you out more.
Please rate me based off the info I provided.
