The oven on my range has been inoperable since I moved in; when I try to set the oven the temperature display does not move and after a few minutes there is loud beeping and F3 appears in the display. I tried as suggested in manual to cut power off at the circuit breaker, but I dare not attempt to disconnect power by pulling out the range. Would that usually work or is it likely to need service and approximately how much will that cost? Thanks!
-   GE model JSP28GON1BG has F3 showing on the screen and beeps after trying to turn oven on. We have had several repairmen to work on the sensors, display, and several other parts. The last repair was just a few weeks ago. We are about ready to repair it ourself or replace it with a new one. I just need to know where to start.-   crasting25
Deirdre, F3 is a bad temperature sensor. This is the probe that is in the oven that monitors the temp. This is not a hard fix. Depending on who you call hopefully you can get it repaired for under a hundred dollars. If you do it yourself probably under 50.00 for the part...Catriver..post back.
