Question about Singer CE-200 Quantum Futura Computerized Sewing Machine

1 Answer

Persistant beeping I have been having a persistant problem that occurs while I'm sewing. I can sew for about 2-4 inches, the machine stops, beeps and then is okay for the next 2-4 inches. I've checked the threading of both the top and bobbing thread and everything looks okay there. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can give

It looks like that worked. I am working on something really really thick and I haven't tried that yet, but just messing around with the more light weight material, all is quiet and my husband is happy again!

Thanks Dupina, I will let you know the final result!!!

I had the exact same thing happen to me during embroidery, and moving the button hole level helped me too.

    Hi Dupina,

Well I have put this to the test and you hit it right on, I didn't even know that buttonhole lever was there, but just like you said, that was the problem! If I have any more problems, I will be right back here to find the solution!!1

Thank you again!! It is great to have a place to go

The machine beeps and stops sewing. The presser foot seems to be the problem since the buttonhole lever is all the way up. When the beeping occurs on an embroidery stitch, the stitch pattern gets messed up.

I tried to send this in once, but it didn't go...

My machine beeps and stops. The button hole lever is all the way up. The presser foot seems jammed, and the embroidery stitch gets loused up.

Look for the buttonhole lever, just behind the needle threader lever. Pull it down and push it up again. The machine gives a warning message if you want to sew and the button hole lever is down. Good luck!

Consult the owner's manual for what the beeps signify. Quite possibly it is a sensor that is either defective/obstructed or there is something wrong with your machine, ie threading, etc...

Can try searching for:

It sounds as if you have tried all the usual fixes so it might be a problem with the actual circuitry causing this. I'd take it into nearest Singer the sewing machine dealership or shop where you bought it and ask them to service it (or if still under warranty, for them to diagnose the fault).

My machine will start sewing but after about an inch or two of stitches it beeps and stops sewing until I take my foot off the presser foot and start sewing again. Can anyone tell me how to make my machine...

If it is threaded correctly, especially on top, there is a sensor that is giving you the beep error message. Common problem but it requires trip to experienced singer tech. Sorry solution is not for consumer, too hard to get to sensors and it is not an specific action for remedy.

Machine beeps and stops sewing, no error message displayed

sounds like not through the tension plate (on top) right... rethread and make sure you hold the thread taunt toward you as you putt through top tension... you should hear a slight click and some resistance...

Beeps several times and stops sewing.

I had the same problem. Through trial and error, I found the problem was with the thread tension. Usually the thread became wrapped around the spool holder as it was coming off the spool. As you continue to press the pedal, tension is created. When you release the pedal, some slack develops in the threading process and you are able to sew a few more stitches before the beeping starts again. If the thread is caught on the spool holder, simple re-thread the machine. That generally works for me. Also you can try to push to spool holder in as close as possible to the spool pin to alleviate any gaps. If the beeping continues to happen, place you thread in a cup behind the machine and thread as usual. You can also purchase an inexpensive thread holder. I made one out of a wood block and other odds and ends found around the house. Good Luck!
